Young people are idiots, that's why they're liberals
It never ceases to amaze: election season rolls around and the morons in the liberal press marvel at the POTENTIAL power of the young electorate. Liberals everywhere stoke the fires of these newbies in hopes that they will finally, for the first time ever, ACTUALLY SHOW UP IN DROVES AND VOTE DEMOCRAT.
Never seems to happnen, though. No "Vote or Die", no "Rock the Vote", no stupid Eminem hate Bush video, will get young people to stop acting like the irresponsible, fickle, flakes that they mostly are. That's what being young is all about. Sure, there are some exceptions out there. The rare mature kids who aren't blinded by emotional ankst and rage. Those who actually have a practical grasp on history and current affairs. FYI, they're called YOUNG REPUBLICANS.
But as the old saying goes: "If you're not liberal when you're young, you don't have a heart. But if you're not conservative when you're old, you don't have a brain". And so the majority of the young always seem to get worked up about LIBERAL CANDIDATES. And the media goes crazy over it as if it's a good thing. As if, it's something to respect or be in awe of. A phenomenah.
Let me ask you this: WHEN ELSE DO WE VALUE WHAT YOUNG PEOPLE THINK ABOUT IMPORTANT ISSUES? Do we ask them for financial advice? Do we ask them for marital advice? Do we seek their insight when it comes to a health related matter? NO, OF COURSE NOT, BECAUSE THEY ARE YOUNG KIDS. WHAT THE HELL DO THEY KNOW? RIGHT?
Well, that same logic doesn't seem to apply when it comes to politics and WHO WILL LEAD OUR COUNTRY. At least, not according to liberals. Shouldn't it tell liberals something about their ideology and views, when some 18 year old-no nothing-punk, SHARES THEIR EXACT POLITICAL VIEWS?
Do you see why we think you liberals are stupid? Your world view stopped developing some time after junior high school. And you still live in the same fantasy world that young kids occupy: Where their parents are the real oppressors. Just substitue "parents" for "U.S.". And you have the reason why liberals always "BLAME THE U.S. FIRST".
And just as naive kids ignore the sound advice of their wise parents and keep hanging out and trusting their delinquent friends, liberals will always doubt the U.S. and trust our sworn enemies: like Iran, Cuba, N. Korea, and Russia (in the Cold War). But what can we expect, they're liberals, they don't know any better. Just like children.

Typical liberal response, brilliant.
You know what's weird? You're always on here. No matter what time, no matter what day. I scroll through these messages to find an interesting thread, and YOU ARE ALWAYS THERE. Uttering you're silly, infantile things like some Beevis and Butthead wanna-be.
Do you ever go anywhere? Do you know anybody? Are you still a virgin? Nevermind, I know the answer to these questions already. You are the biggest loser on here. Everyone says it. I'm sorry you have such a lame life that this message board is the height of your existence.

That's because most liberals don't work. They sit home and get government handouts. Liberals are lazy. They want someone else to work and give away part of their hard earned cash to the less fortunate. You know the ones that could work harder but just feel they are entitled to part of your money. They sit home and discover that if they call you a name and you get angry with them then you have to pay them for dishing out insults at them. It's strange, but true.

Great post. You forgot minorities (handouts), the insecure (get false security blanket programs to protect them), union workers (want $35 an hr job, guarantee never to get fired, and have the freedom to be inadequate), trust fund kids (never had to build any wealth), and special industry's that benefit from Dem power (see trial attorney's), the Kennedy's and Soros' of the world (who benefit from manipulating the system, at the expense of everyone else) and you have the backbone of the Democratic Party. A fine charactered bunch. A real confident bunch. High in self- esteem. Nothing like us lousy, piece of shit folks on the Right, who are simply tired of the government stealing from us, don't want or expect any handouts, and want everyone to succeed in life, on their own.
Good solution (to make sure the ignorant 20's don't vote). All parents should just take away their gas cards the first week of November. Make the kids ride their bikes to the polls.

Yep, anyone who's had to bust their ass for a dollar doesn't want to give it to a bunch of fucking bums. That's what liberals want because they never had to go through a bunch of bullshit to make a buck. It came easy for them.

Childish comparisons.
Nice collection of stereotypes.
Usually indicative of lack of knowledge or experience.
Most liberals I know, myself included work hard, make it on their own & have a shared sense of humanity.
In other words all people regardless of ideology are relevant & apart of the same shared humanity. They take the time to actually understand different people. Unlike everyone I've seen post so far whom are showing their stupidity by stereotyping crap that they obviously have no real world experience about.
Case in point- This thread.
Now if you wish to know the more practical reason why the youth are moving away from the GOP, it's quite simple, they came of age under Bush.
Pew Research Center: Gen Dems: The Party's Advantage Among Young Voters Widens
Trends in the opinions of America's youngest voters are often a barometer of shifting political winds. And that appears to be the case in 2008. The current generation of young voters, who came of age during the George W. Bush years, is leading the way in giving the Democrats a wide advantage in party identification, just as the previous generation of young people who grew up in the Reagan years -- Generation X -- fueled the Republican surge of the mid-1990's.
In surveys conducted between October 2007 and March 2008, 58% of voters under age 30 identified or leaned toward the Democratic Party, compared with 33% who identified or leaned toward the GOP. The Democratic Party's current lead in party identification among young voters has more than doubled since the 2004 campaign, from 11 points to 25 points.
In fact, the Democrats' advantage among the young is now so broad-based that younger men as well as younger women favor the Democrats over the GOP -- making their age category the only one in the electorate in which men are significantly more inclined to self-identify as Democrats rather than as Republicans. Use the interactive tool to track generational differences in party affiliation over time
Instead of demonizing, try looking at the real world. It might help you mature.

Like I said, tell me one OTHER area of import where you seek a young person's opinion as a valued thing? In other words: besides rap music or the best way to make a bong out of an apple, when do you listen to a young person espouse their opinion on ANYTHING and think: "Man, they've really got things figured out. I should listen to them".
So, why is politics different? Doesn't it make more sense to believe that just like every other area in life, young people tend to be naive and have a lot of life experience ahead of them before they're able to make a reasonable decision? Nothing against young people, they're growing and learning. That's why they often make dumb choices. But what's your excuse, as a grown up liberal? See my point?

I have met a lot of really smart young people. You need to get out. Guy.
Hell there's a 22 year old in Indonesia who started his own business bringing Middle Eastern fast food to the country. He is now worth Billions.
pretty much blows all your stupidity in one sentence.
