You are dead on. It is because liberals act out of pure, juvenille emotion. They respond to logic with anger, becuase they are convinced that simply because you don't think JUST LIKE THEM, you must be evil.
That is the difference between the left and the right in this country. We on the right, (at worst) think libs are destructive because they are naive and idealistic about the world in a juvenille sort of a way.
Yet they on the left, full on believe that we are fascist, war mongers who enjoy killing the innocent and lining the pockets of rich oil men. Conservatives are simply pure evil, according to liberals.
THey're children. Only children react so emotionally. It's like the old saying goes: If you're not liberal when you're young, you don't have a heart. If you're not conservative when you're old, you don't have a brain. This message board is a testament to that point. Especially that A. Crowley guy.
