It is likely they are breeding so much for self centered reasons.
I live at the edge of a neighborhood that has a dirt road leading into the foothills. There is a mormon family with 16 children. They drive a custom SUV and the mother has stickers on the rear window with stick figures representing each of the family members. The mother believes she will rise to a higher level of heaven.
My son refers to their house as the compound.

How is it unfair to the other 17 cdhildren?> When does it become unfair to the other siblings?
Is having five children unfrair to the other rouf?
Is having eight children unfair to the other seven?
Is having 12 children unfair to the other eleven?
Why do yo9u get to make that choice of when it is unfair to the other children?

It is none of your business. For a guy who talks about the Constitution (while knowing nothing about it) you sure do have a problem with people making their own choices.

Which part of "Both Michelle and Jim Bob are Real Estate Agents" led you to believe he views his wife as nothing but an incubator? And who are YOU to decide he deserves nothing from his wife?

Who cares what your son refers to it as? They are doing nothing illegal and why would you ar your son be the arbiters of what is an acceptable number of children for people to have and what is not? As long as their is no abuse, you have no dog in that fight.

Where did I say I wanted to fight with her?
My neighbor does not abuse her children as far as I can see. As I said, she believes she will attain a higher level of heaven, so I think it is obvious why she is breeding.
I thought my son's comment was funny considering the news. Actually, he likes the kid who is his age and sometimes plays basketball with him. Who cares what anyone says. You just mentioned the other day about your wife's comment on Walmart.
We look straight down on their property when we walk the dirt and it looks like a compound, with all the above ground pools, locked and gated driveway, added small building structures. Yes, it is their choice and they look miserable.

Calling it a "compound" is negative in and of itself. So your son's 'funny' statement was making fun of people who are choosing to have more children thatn you think is acceptable . . . . who cares. It is their choice.
Who cares what anyone says? Well, nobody I suppose, but the fact is that your son (and you were supporting your son's statement) was a negative statement against a family because they chose to have more children than you or your son thinks is acceptable.
Breeding? Is that what you called it when you had your sons? Were you merely breeding?
Tell me Sam, how many children are acceptable to have?
By the way, what does what my wife said about Wal*Mart have to do with anything on this thread or really anything at all???????

Oh, you responded with "who cares' referring to my family member's comment and the yet you felt it acceptable to mention your wife"s comment on another thread. I just found that hypocritical.
Oh, and his comment in privacy to me about it looking like a compound was very mild and we laughed. We never discussed it further. He is very kind and never really tries to hurt other people feelings. Their property looks like a compound and it was a witty play on the news and this observation. He probably has never even considered how many children a family should have. That topic would not even interest him to discuss and probably embarrass him if I talked about it.
I guess it is time to limit having children when you look as miserable as the parents seem to be.

There are no legal limitations to how often one can breed.

My wife was commenting on Wal*Mart's uncaring attitude towards that family (Shrenk???) in question. If you want me to I can justify that statement by her and argue that she was right in criticizing Wal*Mart - will you do the same with your son's statement of negatively referring to a family with 16 children as a 'compound'?
You are saying they are miserable because you can't imagine having to care for more than two children. OBVIOUSLY this woman doesn't see that as a problem.
Of course it doesn't hurt other people's feelings . . . they never heard you say it. It is so kind of your son to make fun of that family behind their back rather than saying it to their face. Nevertheless, it is a negative comment and I wonder how many children you or your son thinks is acceptable.
I guess I already got your answer though, when you think that the people look miserable they should stop having children. Sounds sort of subjective.
