My opinion---- One thing stands out to me more than anything else. That is the 10th Amendment which states :
" The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the states, are reserved to the states respectively, or to the people. "
I think they would have somehow given that ammendment much more power!

I don't know Tile, that amendment seems fairly straight forward and its still abused. The War of Northern Agression took care of the 10th amendment and that was the entire purpose of the war in my opinion, to give the federal government more power over the states.
I would think they would also be appalled at the income tax and the change in allowing direct election of senators. The senators were supposed to represent the states, not the people in the states (a fine line to be sure but it was the representatives that represented the people, not the senators). Direct election changed that focus and now we have senators that seem to represent the country as a whole, not the individual states.
