At this point it's just hilarious!
The republicans are not beholden to the "LIBERALS", that much is certain. The democrats are too busy playing to the center to have anything to do with "LIBERALS".
So why on EARTH are you retards still blathering on about "LIBERALS"? It's not the "LIBERALS" who got us sunk into the hell pit of Iraq, in fact the "LIBERALS" were just about the only people in this country who opposed it, not to be confused with democrats.
Heck, the only thing the "LIBERALS" are doing to harm this country is casting their votes for democrats who oppose everything they stand for!

You bet I am upset with liberals. Just look at what the liberal Bush has done. Now Obama and Clinton are promising us 4 more years, only more so, of Bush's policies.

That's ludicrous. The floodgates of greed were opened and we were flooded. So you blame the floodgates and not the flood?
So do you blame the fact that abortions happen on the fact that they were once illegal? Is the former illegality of it to blame?
You're not making any sense.

Is that a fact? 40% of the oil we use comes from the united states, oh misinformed one. Drilling in Texas, Louisiana, California, Oklahoma and YES Alaska provides nearly half of our crude. Add to that about 10 percent each from Mexico and Canada and your little theory is (again) a failure. The myth that "tree hugging liberals" are blocking drilling for oil in the united states is hereby debunked.
The import of oil serves to widen the profit margin of "big oil", just like shipping our manufacturing jobs overseas widens the profit margins of Nike. We're paying more for oil because OPEC is squeezing us, thanks to the instability GW and GHW bush brought to the region and because THEY CAN ALL COLLECTIVELY RAISE PRICES. There IS no sense of competition. Antitrust laws should be kicking in, but nobody is going to enforce them. They have us "over a barrel" and since they own both political parties, the government will not step in.
Google "where does our oil come from" and use that reading thing for more than ann coulter "books" and scribblings on airport bathroom glory hole stalls.

The wars in iraq and afghanistan are not preventing terrorist attacks. What's the logic of that? The wars are one GIANT terror attack going on daily for 5 years straight. That's REAL! There were no terror attacks on american soil for 8 years prior to bush's presidency (OKC bombing), and that happened 2 years after the LAST boondogle in iraq.
Shoving our problems onto other nations is not a solution, that's just prolonging and exascerbating the problem. That's the bush way, make it the next guy's problem. Somehow that's okay with you? Well fortunately your point of view is not only MARGINALIZED politically, but it's now a cultural punchline.

Clearly a decade of rule by the neoconservatives has been the downfall of this country. I'm not convinced the democrats are going to save us, but I know the ones who got us into this mess are back to being the shrill minority at least!

Well KP, we will just have to see how well Demand Side Economics under the democrats will replace and correct all the damage caused by 20 years Republican Supply Side Economics.

No it makes perfect sense Mate---had the market never been regulated to begin with---there would have never been the flood--hence no need for floodgates.
It seems you agree with the idea of the government holding your wallet for you...my only question is where does it stop. You want the government holding your wallet in regards to you buying a house....should the government also hold your wallet when you buy a car---or maybe when people buy stocks---ect ect.
Why isnt the government cracking down on that blackjack dealer that took my money last weekend??

And I suppose your satisfied with IMPORTING 60%?? ANWR is a perfect example for you---millions of acres of lifeless dessert--that has been banned from drilling time after time....by your innocent TREE HUGGING LIBERALS!

And how does a market bring about competition???....by growing the market and increasing supply...not by bending over to liberal government and AlGore's congregation.
Mate all of your oil arguments have already been acknowledged and then destroyed...if you wish to view the carnage..... $103 Oil--Right on Democrats!!

WTC bombings in 1993??---seven years before Bush--maybe we should have eliminated the threat then...rather than liberally turning the other cheek....what did liberal foreign policy get us???......9/11

We should have stayed out of Afghanastan---we should have bent over and turned the other cheek...its the liberal way.
Your isolationist views are indeed the punchline.

Say that as you will...if anything can be learned about liberalism...once a country experiences the lunacy that is liberalism...they go running back to conservatism (See France)

I see, so everything can be twisted around be the "liberals" fault if you ignore reason and play liberally with the truth.
I think I agree with most of the posters on that "$103 Oil.." thread who seem to agree that you were dropped on your head at some point. What was the point of that thread, that the minority democrats were to blame for all of bush's failures?
FAIL.

Just as the last two years of Dimocant failures are the fault of the minority Republicans.

If it were not for "Liberals' this country would still be a Britsh colony.
The right wingers of the day, were British loyalists, and scorned to founders for opposing the crown
Later, they comited treason and tried to split the nation
They later almost destroyed thye US economy, and free markiet capitalism itself, and it took FDR and the new daal to save it
Still later, the tried to engage the Nazis (Prescot Bush for example) and profit from the rise of facism nin Europe, and the two most liberal administrations in US history, fought and won WW2
Were it not for Liberals, we would be a segrigated 3rd wold country with sweat shops, child labor, subjigated women, an infant mortality rate seen in sub sahren Africa and a life expectancy one might expect to see in the developing nations of the world in the 1960s
Now, once again, the left is going to have to fix the damage caused by the reactionary hate mongering right
