L looks like the decline of the joint Christo-Facst, ,quasi conservative assault on our free society is all but complete, and the good guys, the progressive left, will prevail.

The forces of hypocrisy and hate are packing up their flawed agenda of hate and fear based moral and cultural absolutes, and humbling themselves by admitting their mindset has been soundly rejected.

Make no mistake, they have not had a moment of enlightenment. They are still as full of hate, fear, racism, xenophobia and misogynism as the have ever been,
You have to understand, these people are cowards and intellectual frauds. They are surrendering because they have been socially and politically defeated and marginalized, not because they have repentented from their duplicity

There will still be Vatican zombies who will continue to commune with child molesters and preach their medieval dogma, Snake handling inbreeds who will profess a code of morality while procreating with underage relatives, bitter self loathing lower case “w” women who assist bin their own subjugation, and kooks who send their welfare checks to their favorite com man TV evangelists, and of coarse, garden variety tight asses and bitties who will grumble and whine because the world has just become too enlightened for their limited scope, but the day of the hate mongering hypocritical Christo-Fascist as a social force and political block nis all but over

While I am no where near the far right, being pro-life, pro-man/woman marraige and pro-bible isn't a bad thing. What is wrong with the OPs silly post is he tries to lump anybody who is a Christian conservative (even those who vote democratic) in the same group as some of the more extreme. That would be like saying everyone who is pro-choice is against parental consent for abortions for minors.

The fact is that there is an issue in the US with the direction of our culture. The majority of African-American children are born to single family homes (most of the times the single parent is a woman). More and more white children are facing the same issues. Kids are being exposed to some of the most perverted things are increasingly early ages (A 15-year old girl in a seductive pose in Vanity Fair). We are losing ground in education to lesser developed nations. We have a culture of materialism that leads people to spend more than they have until their financial lives are in ruin. The point is while I am not a big fan of some of the stuff from the right I believe that they bring a lot of good to the debate. To try to revel in what you consider their demise is just childish and shortsighted because there will always be a very large part of the country that believes that family values, moral values, life at conception are things worth fighting for.

This is why the progessive left have such a hard time with this group. They assume that anyone who believes these things are crazy and hatemongers when actually most of them are just normal people trying to raise their kids in a decent way. Instead of telling people to open their minds while you close your why not take a look in the mirror and do what you seem to be bashing others for not doing...

You proved my point. I am not a Christain conservative but because I can look at the other side with respect and not contempt and can understand that most of them are normal people who really just want the best for their families and not evil bigots who are bent on destroying socitey you assume that I must be one of them and proceed to tell me how I have lost...sigh.

Every Christain conservtive is not pro-war. In fact many of them believe what the Biable teaches and are vehemently anti-war. The fact that you use the way some Republicans try to define Christian-conservatives as the definition for all of them just shows you have no idea what you are talking about and are just out to use selective data to bolster an idealogical point of view (the same thing you are seemingly critizing others for). You speak in these condescending absolutes about why the US is the way it is as and don't see how you are doing the same thing that the extreme right (and left) has done...which is tell anyone who doesn't agree with them on things that have no definative answer that they are not only wrong but stupid and evil.

Believing in family is not a bad thing. Being pro-life, pro-choice pro-man/woman marriage, pro-gay marraige, pro-abstinence, pro-sex education are not bad things. Being pro-capatilism or pro-socialism are not a bad things. What is bad is assuming that reasonable people can't differ on things while still working together. While I don't have to agree with everything the right or left has to offer I do believe they do bring some good things to the conversation. Try giving people respect instead of looking down at them and you will get more accomplished. Or you can just add yourself to the pile of selfrighteous hacks on both sides who believe that because they have found out how to operating a website that must mean what they say is right.
