Thats exactly what I'm saying"
We, the People, need to be concerned about what Obama would do if he is elected. He doesn't own the oil companies, what the fuck can he do, whine about it for us? It is vital that people, escpecially the Obamites stop and think about what Obama is promising to do and the consequences of the actions. and if what he is promising to do is even possibly, like in this case he has absolutely no clout in the big oil arena so he can't do jack shit. It is vital to discuss the blatant lies by Obama. It is vital to talk about Obama promising to add BILLIONS in new taxes on gasoline. like I said before thats totally irrelevant
You are correct that you do not matter. If you do not vote you are less than nothing. What makes you less than nothing is believing the lies you are told, such as your vote will be counted, total lie I would say you are less than nothing, but I would hate to overstate your importance.

Your a Grade A Idiot. Obama's plan if he gets into the Whitehouse is to make Exxon give the government more money to make the 40 billion in profits. Instead of close to 30 billion in taxes on just the oil, this does not cover their payroll, property and other taxes, Obama and the Democrat Congress will make Exxon raise 40 billion or even more just to make the same profit. Obama is not saying he wants to cap the dollar amount a company can earn, he wants to make them raise more money from We, the People.
You have no point. You add nothing. I have a bit of respect for George as he at least made an effort to add to the topic. You add nothing, you have no points, and if you do not vote you do not have a voice.

So you are good at hitting lawyers earning $20,000 an hour with windfall profit taxes. Berkershire Hathaway with windfall profit taxes? Should we go after all the retirement plans that have big oil in them? Where are you going to draw the line and can our nation survive the the mass exodus of companies fleeing such punative actions?

I was listening to a guy named Steven Moore from the Wall Street Journal yesterday talking about Waxman's upcoming hearings on "price gouging" by the oil companies. (Since in the past the guy has drawn the ire of Mediamatters.com, it'sa sure bet that he knows what he's talking about.) Moore claims that for the first quarter of '08 Exxon paid more taxes than any company in U.S. history has paid for the same period of time. Then he added that during that same quarter Exxon paid more in taxes than over than 50% of Americans paid.
Can't wait for Henry Waxman's upcoming dog and pony show calling the oil executives in. Seems like this twit never misses an opportunity to make an ass of himself.

If not for the Democrats there would not be a 'shortage' of oil.
You know I am correct about the Democrats demagouging oil so you throw in mindless crap to try to cloud the issue. But at least this time you did try to add something even though it was both wrong and silly.

For several years Exxon, just Exxon, has paid more in taxes than the bottom 65 million Americans. Or more to the point, the government had Exxon collect massive amounts of tax dollars so the money is hidden. People get mad at big oil when big government is the driving force behind high gasoline prices when then helps big government.
