That's easy. Just expand the midnight basketball leagues, and start passing out condoms to fourth graders.

If people are starving they'll fucking riot until they get food, they'll be prepared to die to make their point to their government. You people, well, you have your low paid jobs, your family, your Pop Idol, alcohol, drugs, football, social issues like abortion, separation of church and state, are video games hurting our kids, is Brittney Spears insane, general consumption of unnecessary goods which make us rich and you don't actually need, tax rebates that make you think you've won something when all you've done is get back a small portion of what you gave us, and of course the greatest of them all, patriotism, the list goes on and on. We know, we made it.

A lot of you know you're being played, but you still wont do anything about it. You know why? Cos the world is full of winners and losers, guess which you are?

More words of wisdom from a great mind. Please, tell us more about your theory of relative democracy. It's absolutely fascinating...your ego I mean.

Tell you what, if you tell me why you think I'm wrong I'll gladly engage you in debate lol

This, well, it's shit really isn't it, all you've done is say you disagree, tell me why?

Report: Number of U.S. millionaires jump - Jun. 9, 2005

Millionaires in the Making
Okay, never mind that the article is three years old and is contradicted by newer reports
Fewer New Millionaires in U.S. Thanks to Economic Slump
Fewer New Millionaires in U.S. Thanks to Economic Slump

But how many of those new millionaires are from industries that typically used to produce millionaires (construction, small retail stores, innovating & building new products) and how many are from servicing billionaires (financial markets, REITs, distribution) and servicing our military?

I'm also betting that a full third of the new millionaires share the same last name as the billionaires, or at least their spouses did.

Take a look at the stats on how many millionaires actually stay millionaires. Know anyone in construction? Ask them if their incomes are going up or down? Know anyone who owns a gas station? Ask them the same question. Know anyone who owned a "mom & pop" store anywhere near a Wal-Mart? Are they still in business? Is their income going up or down? Know anyone developing innovative software to sell to companies like Google or Yahoo? They're about to see their hopes and fortunes crushed by Microsoft, even though it will cost Microsoft major losses to do it. But, no worries, Microsoft will gain it back once Yahoo and Google no longer exist...

Hey, I just want to hear more about your intriguing theory of "relative democracy". Is it different than the democracy we had 10 years ago? 30 years ago? a century ago? Also, is it any different than anybody else's democracy? Say England, for instance? Or Sweden?

And how do we get it from "relative democracy" to whatever kind of democracy you think we should have? Do we add a little socialism? or a smidgeon of totalitarianism?

I've always thought the founding fathers did a pretty good job setting things up (except for that one nasty little line in the Constitution about "for the public good" that liberal nitwits have invoked in everything from the aforementioned midnight basketball leagues to a federally mandated pension plan for those who favor a starvation diet). Not perfect but pretty good. Inside of two hundred years we became the biggest economic, political, cultural, military and industrial power in the world. And it seems everybody still wants to come here. And I mean everybody.

Excuse me, but your theory of "relative democracy" sounded to me like some know-it-all blowhard with a gigantic bug up his ass who just like to whine. To be honest, you ought to be happy with your relative democracy, because I'm pretty sure real democracy--where other peoples' voices carry as much weight as your own--just wouldn't be your cup of tea.

What difference does it make where they come from? And what evidence have you produced to show that anything other than liberalism is trying to make static anyone? By example, the ones holding anyone back from gaining personal wealth are the ones that hold entire ethnic cultures at the length of entitlement to their control of government purse strings, as they cherish the power of distributing other peoples monies and do not want these guaranteed base supporters to go anywhere, as they continually dish out just enough to keep them right where they want them....just at or right below poverty level. Look Rasta, the wealthiest Americans have rights and do pay their fair share of taxes and I have showed it time and time again.

SN, yes from your presceptive the article is slanted but does that make it un true? Yes we have seen children working in the mines and we have passed labor laws to protect them and we also have an educational system that if proper parental involvement and application by the student then they can be prepared for a better life.

Well ... not to burst your bubble, but a report from the National Center for Policy Analysis shows that the tax burden has been increasing on the evil rich faster than their incomes have been going up.
Here's a quickie look at the figures since 1986.
  1. The share of the income tax paid by the top 1 percent of income earners went from 25.8 percent to over 37 percent.
  2. The percentage their total income that the top 1 percent of income earners paid from their income to the federal government rose from 18.3 percent to 19.6 percent. The percentage paid by the bottom fifth of income earners went from 0.4 percent to zero percent.
  3. The income share of the top 1 percent rose from 11.3 percent to 19 percent while their share of income taxes rose from 26 to 37 percent. That's a 7.7 percent increase in income and a 11 percent increase in income taxes.
Clearly these evil rich people are getting away with murder. We need to really raise their taxes, don't we?
Let me help you ou here Robh

First off, the “Evil Rich people” crap is pretty much a lame straw man, so please spare us the accusations of a class war, when in fact bit is YOUR ilk that has been waging one for 40 years now

I for one, am a Liberal who is well on her way to being one of those “Rich people’ and in fact, my personal assets already exceed a million dollars I am proud to be in the upper end of the 28% bracket, and hope to be in the 30%s soon

The other thing you seem to overlook, is that you party, has NOT BEEN the “party of the rich” for decades.
In fact, quite the contrary.

167 House of Representatives districts where the median income is higher than the median national income, you find that Democrats have been elected more often then Republicans

Why ?

Upper income voters also tend to be better educated.

Upper income voters are more likely to be plugged into beter news sources, and less likely to watch Fox News, and listen to talk radio

The districts where Democrats made the biggest gains in 2006 were suburban districts -- places that need government and government services, and places that are not as responsive to the Republican conservative message that government is evil and needs to be starved

The Republican base is in fact, the American working poor

The fact that those who will be in a position to PAY more taxes, know we need to move the rates back to pre 2000 rates speaks volumes…don’t you think ?
