Default Who is subsidizing Chris Matthew's failed business???

Matchews is in the news business. Yet his "product" isn't selling well. In fact, his competitor sells 600 times as much. How can he still be viable in such a competitive industry? Unless.......

    Is Someone Subsidizing Chris Matthews?

To say that viewership for MSNBC’s “Hardball,” hosted by Chris Matthews, is in decline is like saying the Empire State Building is tall or the Moon is a long way from here.

A better way to say it would be the way Brian Maloney, “The Radio Equalizer,” did when he reported that Matthews’ ratings were literally 600% lower than “his competition at Fox” in December 2009. (That’s no typo: 600% is the actual number.)

So why is Matthews still on television? He’s clearly an albatross around MSNBC’s neck.

Is there a chance that someone is subsidizing his show without the public’s knowledge?

From where I’m sitting in heartland America, these do not seem like crazy questions. After all, in what business, other than liberal TV news shows, can someone produce 600% less than others who are doing similar jobs and yet remain gainfully employed?

Add to this the fact that Matthews doesn’t come across as a good host, a real journalist, or even a proud American, and one really has to wonder how long MSNBC can justify keeping him on board. (If my reference to the fact that he doesn’t appear to be “a proud American” bothers you, please recall that it was just last year that Matthews referred to West Point as the “enemy camp” when President Obama was preparing to give a speech there.)...

Thus, once Obama was elected President, Matthews made it clear that he was going to go out of his way to make Obama’s tenure a good one: “I want to do everything I can to make this thing work, this new presidency work.… This country needs a successful presidency.”

Maybe Matthews will somehow realize that it’s not the job of the media to carry water for Obama but to deliver the news honestly, even when that means exposing Obama’s socialistic intentions. If Matthews could somehow grasp this, he might actually save his miserable show from extinction.

In the meantime, I’m still interested in finding out who’s subsidizing his little program.
Fuck you all. I'm outa here.
