--- How many people know about the *writers* that are attached to absolutely every bill? The reason many President's and Governor's veto legislation is because of all those damn WRITERS attached to a bill. Example: A bill may be advertised as money for bridge damaged from an earthquake on a federal interstate. That bill may include many other bridges to prevent a future similar fate. Some of those additional bridges may some rep's or senators home state that has absolutely no risk from an earthquake. It's just PORK money....
Line Item Veto would make those WRITERS public knowledge if they veto a bill. THEN the public would read exactly what parts some rep/sen attached as pork. In so many cases if would be of huge embarrassment which in turn would prevent many of those writers from ever being attached.

Did you give yourself the daily ego boost you require by pointing out a person you continuously disagree with that he misused the word WRITER for the word RIDER?
Obviously, you understood the point I was making and yet showed absolutely zero interest in replying to it. Instead you chose the path to belittle, which is indicative of someone badly in need of an ego boost. I'm glad to appease your need on this day.
