Default The 19 Televised Pleadings by Obama to the GOP on Health Care

The 19 Televised Pleadings by Obama to the GOP on Health Care

The Dem-only, GOP stiff-arm that the Trillion dollar President has been treating the nation to for the last year on health care is supposed to go away in one televised meeting. After forcing the end of the only bi-partisan process in Congress and insisting that Congress go the Dem-only route — here are the 19 things the Trillion dollar President is really asking the GOP to help him do:

    1) Please won’t you help us spend $2.5 trillion we don’t have?

    2) Please won’t you join us in enraging the independent voters and your base?

    3) Please won’t you believe that if I will agree with any of your policies, I can get Senator Reid and the Speaker to enact it?

    4) Please help me take over the health care industry?

    5) Please help me feel better about my repeated violations of my transparency campaign promises, hence, appearing on TV today?

    6) Please help me out of this wheel-chair I’ve put myself in, after I broke my own back on health care reform?

    7) Please help me appear as if I am listening to you and the American people?

8 ) Please help me force employers drop their employee health benefit and force workers into the government run health care system — er, exchange?

    9) Please, please help me fund abortions with taxpayer dollars?

    10) Please help me give illegals health benefits, paid for by citizens?

    11) Please help me tax health insurance premiums, but not for my pals, the unions?

    12) Please help me set up an “exchange” to control all aspects of every health insurance policy we will let an insurer sell?

    13) Please help me cut Medicare by half a trillion dollars, and use it to fund the destruction of our health care system?

    14) Please help me force every American to buy health insurance — whether they can afford it or not?

    15) Please help me pay for my government take over of health care by taxing the young and the married?

    16) Please help me empower the Secretary of HHS to put restrictions on Health Savings Accounts?

    17) Please help me create a health care database that tracks gun ownership?

    18) Please help me put the government in charge of rationing care?

    19) Please help me feed the moral arrogance of Democrats by allowing me to lecture you and the American people on health care one more time?

In these situations, after being pilloried, ignored and attacked by the President, who now says he wants to talk to Republicans in front of the cameras, “You just don’t get it, do you Mr. President?” is not an unreasonable response.
But really, it is a last gasp of desperation on the part of the White House, where the next verse will be — see, we tried to work with the Republicans and they just said no — just what the American public wants.
Laugh, and the world laughs with you. Cry, and I'll give you something to cry about, you little bastard.

You've already proven you're a liar in more ways than one. Another post filled with lies. He's not asking 'please' on anything. Republicans can't keep saying, "We have idea's, but he won't listen, or he doesn't want that in the Bill." Now they're going to have to EXPLAIN, on national television, WHY they simply want to kill the bill and start all over. They're also going to have to tell millions of people how 'long' they're going to have to wait until the 'they' decide if they should live, or die without health care. Our Government always seems to find plenty of money to fight wars all around the world, rebuild other countries, jump to the rescue, etc..etc.. But we can't treat, or take care of millions of Americans who either lost their health insurance because they couldn't afford it, or they've never had any because they couldn't afford it. Gimme a fucking break!
I can't wait to hear them try to explain their way out of this mess, but they'll have some lame ass excuse like they always have. Only this time it won't fly because it's televised.

They've already explained why they oppose the Pelosi & Reid plans. And the Republicans don't want to decide if people live or die. Don't be so dramatic.

So it's the Republicans' fault that people are "dying"? Hmm....how many people died while the Democrats did nothing the past year? How many people would have died between now & 2014 if the Democrats' bills has passed?

    Too funny.

There is no way the Republicans should have anything to do with the two bills currently on the table. The American public doesn't want them. They should go, produce their bill and ideas and sit back and wait. The Dems will not go along with tort reform so I think "healthcare" reform is DEAD. As long as the Republicans explain their position, enough has went on behind closed doors and enough dirty deals, the citizens will remember who tried to deceive them. It's Obama's last hope.

Words you'll never hear in the Canadian health care system

As a Canadian I marvel at all of these terms that are so common to Americans, but are virtually unknown to us.

Here's a partial list off the top of my head:

    1. "Out of network"
There are no "networks" in Canada. Doctors and hospitals are not affiliated with private insurance companies. Doctors are private business entities and hospitals are usually run by non-profit boards or regional health associations.

    2. "COBRA"
Health coverage is NOT tied to your place of employment in any way. So any COBRA-like scheme is unnecessary.

    3. "Co-Pay"
The government pays 100% of basic care, 100% of the time. Drugs are not covered, but are subsidized by government to a point. And because of mass buys, discounts are obtained from the drug companies. That's why our prices are so much lower. Most employers offer a drug plan that pays for 100% of drug cost coverage.

    4. "monthly premium\deductible"
Wazzat? We don't consider our health to be the same as our possessions.

    5. "waiting for approval"
Doctors are the sole decision makers for health care. NOBODY influences or delays their decisions, warns them of costs or prevents them from giving treatment for any reason.

    6. "Government interference"
The provincial government in each province PAYS for whatever services doctors provide. No questions asked. Unless the procedure is experimental, not medically necessary or unwarranted, doctors cannot deny basic care - by law.

    7. "Health insurance lobby"
There are NO insurance companies for basic care, only companies for providing insurance for travelers. No money to be made here.

    8. "bureaucracy"
When we visit a hospital or doctor's office, we walk in, get treated, walk out. No "applications", "registrations" or any other kind of paperwork is required. We NEVER have to talk to a single "government official" or wait for a "judgment".

    9. "PRE-EXISTING CONDITION"
This is such a foreign concept to us. A Canadian's usual reaction to the explanation of this term is astonishment.

I'm glad to see that a sane health care system is within reach in America.

Fight for it. It's WORTH it.

And vice versa, cunt. Obama will have to stand up for himself and his dumb ass decisions for the first time. He has been in office over a year now and claims he is transparent. Yeah, right, he is about as transparent as a brick fucking wall.

Very easy talking points by the liberal tools, like you, but now, if he keeps his word about televising the bullshit fest, he will have to actually answer questions. I am willing to bet that he doesn't even know what is in either of the bills he is defending.

I just saw a clip of Obama saying he was proud to be a Dem but sometimes we need the other side. Well, actually, he didn't need the other side, he just couldn't get his junk bills through with a super majority. The man is a FAILURE! I say, let him wallow in that failure.
