Stevens Point Journal - UWSP group seeks gender-neutral bathrooms


STEVENS POINT -- A University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point committee for non-heterosexual students is seeking gender-neutral bathrooms on campus.


"Many of the issues we address are statewide, even nationwide problems. We just want our campus to be truly student-friendly," said Melissa Phinney, chairwoman of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer Committee.




Is shit going too far????? No pun intended.

Let's pony up and provide more money so "queers" as they called themselves can pee/shit in a room that doesn't have a man or woman posted out front.

Really don't have a problem with this. I think that best thing that's come along in bathroom etiquette lately has been the family bathrooms. At five/six/seven, it becomes bad etiquette to take my son into the womens restroom, but I am still not comfortable sending him into the men's by himself.

Back to the gender neutral restrooms. Would you be comfortable peeing/shitting in the same room with a stranger of the opposite sex?

What a crock of shit this country has lost its damn mind. Your in there to do your buisness only the gay community and politicians could make taking a shit and piss into a political crap game. I will take my little girl into the bathroom with me if we are out and mom is not there. Of course if she is a little older I will go in first and make sure the coast is reasonably clear and go to a stall etc etc you know like when we were kids and our parents were kids so on and so on. Only know do we have problems like this. Next thing we are going to have them making it mandatory that a certain amount of politicians are gay and cops etc. so they are more sympathetic to there needs. I say shut the fuck up keep what you do in the privacy of your own home and bedroom out of everything before you push so far your shoved back into the damn closet head first. Just like the muslims with there feet wahing basins at colleges BRING A FUCKEN BOWL FROM HOME it is not our responsability it is yours. Personally I don't care if toilets are gender neutral or not. If I have to go, I'm going.

But I don't know to many American women who will admit they use the "powder room" for more than applying make-up. I just can't see them agreeing with such a set up.
