Default Russia, sweet Russia

Actually, I would love to participate in general discussions, but I fear that I would be something much worse than even a troll. I haven't a clue about anything in the world and my main ambition is to improve my English. For saying things about life in the US you have to know something about the country. The same goes for any other land. If you know nothing it would be better to be silent. But how I would improve my written abilities then?
I haven't found any thread about Russia. At the first glance, it is a bit invidious. But it is just a reality. Who is interested in such a wild and distant country?
So I open the thread and invite everybody who are interested in the Kremlin's intrigues
If there are no such guys, I am going to write here myself, not to disturb decent falks.
Anybody who has nothing to do is welcome to correct my mistakes, of course.

Do you see Russia as a better, or worse, country since Democracy?

Palestine, your Russian is excellent! I would say that you are a Russian by this sentence. Everybody says here that Russia is too dangerous for foreigners. What do you think of it?

Still Dizzy, Russia is not better or worse, it is still Russia . A czar, no laws, shit in heads instead of thoughts in sense of politics and etc. . Maybe it will change, maybe not…

CougFan23,
Well, I cannot say that we had too much rights before Putin. Yes, it was a full freedom of speech on central TV and in some newspapers. But a good half of the country was under authorial rule of local mobsters. Plus, it was huge crime altogether and any financial or business activity might be ended up with a bullet of the killer.
Putin didn’t cut all democratic rights. He just returned one ruling party (all others showed their inability to do anything but theft and blabbering) and you are supposed not to criticize him on TV. You can do it in the Inernet or some newspapers but not on TV. He is a czar and when people criticize the czar it leads to a revolution. A revolution in Russia is a disgusting thing.
