The reason for the march was to allow the kids to feel comfortable discussing the subject and to make it less taboo to talk about with each other and to other adults. Also a chance for them to show the local community that they are aware that it is wrong and that if it happens then they will tell. Kind of like a warning to potential predators I suppose.

I hope this works well and includes an awareness that Teachers can be child predators also.

I'd have more to tell, but last Friday night I slipped off of a pier into the water. This would not be an issue, but with Tropical storm Arthur coming in the water was very shallow- and there was a nice piece of steel rebarb sticking out of a cement block that stuck 3-4" into my hip (no vital organs hit thank the Lord.) So I have been stuck in bed taking massive amounts of pain pills, antibiotics and penicillin shots to kill the anaerobic infection that I got since no Doctor could get to me until Monday (the storm cut off most all forms of transportation on the island and there was severe flooding.) So there are major downfalls to this place, as it is remote enough that when accidents occur there are few options. But my Doctor has managed to get the healing process rolling and I am able to walk to the bathroom by myself so I am now fully confident that all will be fine.

The nurse is coming to dress my wound soon and then take me on her golf cart into town so I'll take my camera and get some more pictures to post this evening.
