Damn the English need a little more freedom. getting an ASBO for climbing trees! And the Transport for London is trying to pass a new law for fare dodgers to be put under the jurisdictions of the ASBO system, which can get you up to five years in prison. I guess the thought police are going to be next!

Indeed, it is harsh to give children ASBOs for climbing trees. At the moment it seems that children who do something that doesn't hurt anybody are treated too severly:

We recently discovered that people who steal electricity from the national grid can have longer sentences than those who abduct children. The UK needs to sort out its judicial madness. The reason violent crime is increasing here (overall crime is steady) is because the government are too soft.
