I visited the American military Cemetary in Normandy
France. Many German ,Anglo,Italian ,Spanish ,Polish
names and other...
Only a very few stars of David.
When Bush went there for the 60th anniversary
he had his picture taken in front of the few stars of David.

If you commit a crime, you have actually done something wrong. If you don't want to join the military, you just didn't want to join the military...
Why would anyone be able to force you to join the military for any reason? If the war is not getting volunteers, it is most likely a war not worth the effort.

I know the distinction, but when you brought up the 14th Amendment and didn't recognize that it did indeed have exceptions I thought I would point them out. Obviously you agree with one of the exceptions.
You can also be forced to show up for jury duty, don't think that falls into the involuntary servitude category, but if you were on an OJ Simpson type jury and were sequestered for a few months I think it would. If you make a stretch then that is also another exception.
I am not arguing for or against a draft, just pointing out that there are exceptions that even you agree with. |
