The Middle East can never win a conventional war, no matter how many of them get together. Militarily, even with superior numbers, they could never defeat a Western Army (except the French). The whole way their forces are structured and lack of an NCO corps prevents this from ever happening. And guerilla wars are never going to gain the intensity (since they always turn factional) to reach World War levels.

I believe #3 will come from the U.S. defending one of its allies(eg. Israel). It is interesting to listen to Pres. Ahmadinezhad speak about the need for a cease fire between Lebanon-based terrorists and Israel. The reason given: So Iran and other militant muslims can destroy Israel later. I'm not sure this even costitutes as foreshadowing, more like a declaration of intent. It's when this declaration in enacted that WWIII will begin. I'm curious how the U.S. would handle the situation with a democrat pres. at the helm?

One of my most popular photoshops. I made it last year. It had been the lead image on several blogs. Here is another favorite I like to goad the Liberals with.

I hate to break it to you, but the U.S. will also probably need oil! And you need to read up on history and foreign policy...if you would, you would know that there is no chance in hell that Russia and the U.S. will join on the same side. Also I would think that Israel has probably been pretty pissed off, and still hasn't nuked anyone! And the part where all Muslim countries will pile on them????...ummmm...Muslim countries barely get along with their Muslim brethren! Saudi Arabia's monarchy and wahhabism is pretty hated in the region; poor Turkey is not even considered Muslim by Arabs; Iran's Shiite religion is still a minority in the region, not to mention that they're Persians and not Arabs; Lebanon is too busy with its own civil war; Egypt is not much liked for their peace treaty with Israel (though who knows about them); the Gulf states want no part of any of this, they enjoy their constitutional monarchies and want to be left alone; and of course, last but not least, Iraq...I don't think I need to mention its current issues.

Here's an interesting ancient Chinese prophecy I found on that. It's probably fake though.
Poem 56:
Flyers are not birds, swimmers are not fish,
A war does not depend on soldiers. It's a game of technology.
Millions of miles of deadly smoke, on top a mushroom and at bottom a fountain.
A sight out of people's imagination. Big trouble not solved, but greater trouble arrives
Poem 57:
In an extreme situation, things turn around. A three-feet tall kid, made all foreigners bow down.
When Blue West and Red East struggle, a son of God appears, a gentleman who brings peace and stops the killing.
This unbelievable genius is from the middle of the two, westernized and thus ended all wars for good.

Sure there is a chance. Based on history why would Germany and France be allies? England and France fought for centuries and they became allies. You need to read up on history some, I suspect. Not to mention in the last world war the US and Russia were on the same side.

I'm not talking about France, Germany or England. You shouldn't hold Europe as a model for the rest of the world, it's quite ethnocentric. And the history I'm talking about is post-Cold War between the U.S. and the Soviet Union, not history in general. It’s ironic that the U.S. wants to democratize the world and when given a chance after the collapse of the Soviet Union, it completely ignores the newly created democracy. And people wonder why when Putin came to power, Russia reverted to statism instead??? It’s because democracy and the West have proven to be unreliable, which is an obvious cause of the tensions, particularly between the U.S. and Russia. Russia is not simply just going to forgive and forget.
