The issue here is two-fold. For starters, Bush and team started the war off in grand fashion, They won the inital war - but then lost the peace. It's a story that I have gone through many times over but suffice to say, Bush and Rumsfeld and the rest of the gang completely mis-read a whole litany of things that happened in iraq that they didn't count on. The second is much more dangerous in my opinion and one needs to only look at the posts in this particular blog. No one in this particular forum are thinking as Americans. They are thinking in terms of "What's best for my party?" People like 'Nazi' don't even count in this discussion because he is so stupid and mis-informed that I nominate him as the new poster child for birth control. The left has invested in defeat- it's obvious. They put their cards on the table and have been literally coming up with ways to insure defeat. $24 billion in pork barrell spending (really nothing more than a bribe in essence) tacked on to a bill that gives Bush the money that the troops (not Bush) needs. Harry Reid as recently as today has threatened to cut off funding completely if Bush doesn't sign the current bill with teh $24 billion for pork. This is selling the troops out of the highest order. Insulting, dangerous, unfathomible. Some will say that this is the Democrats way of holding Bush accountable. Bullshit. This is however a sure of getting our troops killed, letting the enemy see that all they have to do is wait us out a bit longer and them wait for us to go home. I'm only 37 but I never thought I'd see in my lifetime an American political party sell out it's troops and citizens for the sake of politics, power and lobbyists. I hope Joe Liebermann is watching and switches party's.

However, the Republicans are not much better. The reason they lost in November has everything to do with them and not a hell of a lot to do with the Democrats. The Democrats were smart in running candidates who were more moderates. The moderate Democrats pushed the door open. The far-left - as we are seeing -pushed the moderates out of the way and now idiots like Pelosi is taking it upn herself to go to Syria. For what purpose I'm not sure but I'm sure 'Nazi' will consider this a great achievement. Bush's biggest flaw and downfall has been his out and out refusal to consistantly communicate with the American people. regan and Clinton were pro's at it. Bush doesn't even try and what's left are people like Hannity, and Limbaugh to defend him when in fact it should be him getting on television every week (if necessary) and shooting the stupidity and the dangerous tactics the Democrats are using.

America is a country divided and thinking of their own selfishness and not the benefit of all. Everyone is too blame but of course this too will be laid at the Republicans feet and they will be too scared to reply in kind.
