Bill Clinton... Ace in the hole?
Most Americans predict Hillary Clinton's opponents in the 2008 presidential election campaign will try to exploit past Clinton scandals, but her husband Bill's current popularity with Americans could be a potent buffer for her.
According to a new USA Today/Gallup poll, a majority of Americans have a favorable view of former President Bill Clinton and 71% think he was a good President. Also, while the public generally believes Bill Clinton has not learned his lessons from past marital scandals, Americans say the Clintons' marriage should not be a factor when voters consider Hillary Clinton's bid for President.
In the end, despite all of the potential baggage he brings to the table, most Americans believe Bill Clinton will do
more good than harm to Hillary Clinton's bid for President.

So the fact that Bill was a serial philanderer won't count but the fact the Rudy's marital past will? Can we say double standard here?
My only issue with Bill not being able to keep it in his pants and Hilliary's acceptence of that is that she is either (1) totally living a lie regarding their "marriage" or (2) is so easily manipulated by those around her I couldn't trust her for 10 minutes in the White House.

Nathan, I think Rudy's past will mainly hurt him with the RR. I don't see how that is a double standard.
I really don't see Hillary as "easily manipulated". I think she is very much her own woman. As far as their marriage, who can say? I think that alot of marriages survive infidelity. Wouldn't float in my house, but I don't have aspirations for the White House.

I don't agree that Hillary is a woman easily manipulated, and let's face it, her aspirations are high...
I would put up with Bill, he just might be the ace in the hole...

I Think that unless a criminal act is involved that between husband and wife it should remain between them. Politics should be about governing the country and looking out for the welfare of the nation.
Liable laws should apply to political campaigns and protect not only the status of an election, but but the people from having toelect officials based on lies, misinformation and dirty tricks. A political post won with any of those should be forefit, and the fraudlent winner should serve jail time equivelent to the term duration.

Let's also keep track of how other Democrat candidates
try and model their campaigns after Hillary's...
Obama hasn't got a chance, but Edwards, he may be a surprise in the coming months.
I think it will come down to Hillary, or Edwards. Edwards has already stated he would not be willing to accept a Hillary, Edwards ticket if he loses. But, I think that tune will change if he does in fact, lose...
