Default Thompson ahead in latest polls...

Here are the latest results...

1. Newt Gingrich 16.39%
2. Rudy Giuliani 12.09%
3. Mike Huckabee 1.28%
4. Sec. of State Condi Rice 4.20%
5. Sen. Sam Brownback 1.84%
6. Sen. Fred Thompson 54.42% ( Wow!)
7. Sen. John McCain 1.76%
8. Gov. Mitt Romney 8.02%

Thompson hasn't officially announced that he's going to run in 2008, but I bet he will...

There are two things that make Former Senator Thompson an attractive Republican Candidate. He is a true Conservative in the Ronald Reagan mold and he has a good dose of country charm. It was the country charm that so helped Clinton.

I haven't heard a thing from him personally on this topic...Has anyone else seen what his thoughts are on this?
