They were good leaders....some would also throw Nixon in with the "liberals in drag" comment....although most wouldn't argue he was a good leader.

Is the old limping redneck comment supposed to clever? It is about the same as the names that Obama and Hillary are called which you seem to take offense to - and carries about as much weight. Just like when Giuliani was referred to as semi-gay the other day on a thread. Is this really the best way to discredit these people in your mind?
This is why politicians engage in mudslinging. It works so very well on the unthinking segment of America.

What about his career in Hollywood and the right's hatred of all things Hollywood?
By the way, if you've seen Die Hard 2 you'll find Mr Thompson using the F-word ALL through the movie... how will the religious right get past that?

Quit making generalizations. Generalizations usually hurt arguments quite a bit.
As far as the language in films . . . big deal. Again, if this is the best criticisms of the man you can come up with (second time you have used this criticism), then maybe he is a viable candidate. Such a weak criticism. Again, this is why mudlsinging works so well and why politicians keep using it. People like you actually think these are issues to be considered with.
Also, Giuliani is leading the Republicans, not Thompson or anyone else at the present time.

Well, we will find out "swiftboaters" to make who ever your candidate becomes. Anyway, the right is in such bad shape that you could dig up Reagan and run him again and he would lose.

Don't know where that poll came from, but if I had to guess I would say Free Republic.

Looks like Giuliani is out in front in all of the polls.

Really Dom, now I thought you were a straight shooter kind of guy... Thompson isn't even on those polls...
Now, Dom, why is that? Wishful thinking if you ask me...
Hannity.com is where I got this poll. It's legit, Dom, but don't change your vote. I don't want you to lose face...
