I was planning on voting for ole Rudi but now I don't know if I can vote for anyone who supports the patriot act and the further BS that plagues our policy.

Some subtle eye openers for me:
1. Pakistan family who lived in US for decades held at club gitmo for a year and half. They're not enemy cambatants. If they're here legally they have right to due process, no exceptions.
2. New terrist claim repsonsibility through torture. If I was waterboarded I would probably say I was responsible as well, how stupid do they think we are?
3. Border patrol agent going to prision for 6 to 11 years for doing there job. If you don't want illegals caught just change policy, don't put our agents in harms way politically as well as physically. This is straight BS, I really feel for teir families. If you want labor, loosen the immigration laws. Why is that so difficult.

BTW, for the record, I no longer support anything done by this president. I voted for him on fiscal policy such as IRS reform, SS reform, Tort reform, and he has done little or nothing on these issues.

I completely agree with you on the subject of our border patrol..This is an outrage that they went to prison for doing their job..Those two border patrol men were just doing their job and its an outrage that they went to prison for shooting a illegal in the back..HE WAS A DRUG DEALER WHAT THE FUCK DOES IT MATTER THAT HE GOT SHOT!

Roman, it seems that right now who we will get to vote for is just guessign. I support Rudy as of right now but I don't want to have the election coming down to having to choose the lesser of 2 evils. In regards to the patriot act, intially I saw where it could be abused but so far the only abuse that we know of is with the FBI. I would favor reducing or weakening the Patriot act, but still we must have the ability to track or monitor terror cells in this country.

What is a terrorist?

Some Ohians wanted a kid who called in a high school bomb threat to be considered a terrorist. The kid is a dipshit but a terrorist? Should we send this kid to gitmo? The public said he was a terrorist becuz he use terror and violence. Is the guy who snaps becuz he had a bad day at work and comes home to find his neighbors dog shitty on his lawn a terrorists? Of course not but these people would consider one becuz he was violent. Put this on top of the abuse and I can;t support it anymore. Its a disaster waiting to happen to us, our ideals, our liberty.
