Christian Right Labors to Find ’08 Candidate
"The Council for National Policy was founded 25 years ago by the Rev. Tim LaHaye as a forum for conservative Christians to strategize about turning the country to the right. Its secrecy was intended to insulate the group from what its members considered the liberal bias of the news media. In recent years the group has brought together a cross-section of the right from Edwin J. Feulner to Wayne LaPierre of the National Rifle Association."

Lady, it sounds like they will not have a candiate this time around. Maybe the moderates can have a voice then.

The winning combination is going to be Rudy Giuliani for President, with Mike Huckabee as his running mate.
Giuliani is the strongest candidate, both in Republican polling and in head-to-head matchups with all the likely Democrats. But he'll need Huckabee (or another Christian conservative, preferably a Southerner) to help solidify the base.
You heard it here first.

Bring back Reagan? Great idea, if only we could.

The Christiand right won't support Rudi, he's pro-choice and pro-gay rights. He will need a real conservative running mate to get them to the polls, maybe Newty or Frist.
