I was begining to think that I was talking to the air, as for Joe I have nothing against him and he might bring a different crowd out to polls, as he has shown that he is a man with convections. I don't agree with everything that he represents but the field this time around is beginning to look thin for us semi-conservatives.

That is an interesting thought. It wouldn't do a thing to shore up the base, but I wonder how many it might bring in from the middle? Enough?

Not Frist. He's a good heart surgeon, but he wasn't much good as Senate Majority Leader, and he has zero charisma. Newt maybe, he's a good idea man, a good speaker and debater, and he is a Southern conservative. But maybe not Newt; he has the same sort of personal divorce issues as Giuliani, and that isn't something you'd want to reinforce. Haley Barbour maybe; as Gov. of Mississippi, he handled Katrina very well, and he's a solid conservative.

Rudy and Joe?
I am a conservative dem, but I would vote for this ticket. It would sure beat the hell out of some of the so called moderates that are a dyed in the wool liberals. I am a dem but I just can't stand the liberals thought train of circular ideas that go round and round and never solve anything, only create bigger problems.

come on people think about it, it would pull enough moderate republicans and conservative dems to win by a landslide, as we are talking about 70% of the voting block here. I know no one really gets what they would call a dream team but what really are the alternatives here, do you really want Sir Hillary Clinton to be madam President?

Oh, I'd definitely vote for ANY of those tickets over any likely Democratic ticket. Whether Giuliani/Lieberman would really be as strong electorally as you think, I just don't know. I'd have to ponder that. But the country would be in good hands.
