The reality is that these smears are transparent and make them look desperate. Is this the best they can do? The good news is it shows that they are taking Obama's candidacy very seriously. Fasten your seat belts Obama, it's going to be a wild ride.
Any chance the right could discuss issues. Really I object to swiftboating of any candidate right or left. Lets talk about who can best lead our country and what their plan is for Iraq/healthcare/deficit/getting back to tackling terrorism/honoring the constitution
I would love to see this forum talk about the candidates seeking the presidency from both parties and actually talk about their plans on all the issues and what they stand for. Come on...
Personally I am just watching and listening and have not even made a decision on who I want to lead us. for gods sake...lets listen to them and stop the bullshit.

First off any site that has truth with a politicians name is already smear merchant peddling.
Second the site is so BAD. I mean come on thats rank amateur. Might as well be a bad my space site.

But really makes me chuckle, is how many times the right wing apologists have defended corporate America's right to make money at any cost, and now they are condemning Obama for the same thing they praise others for.
HIPOCRATES!!!

Thank you for putting it so clear & succinct I didn't even make the obvious connection until you wrote it. How inanely stupid. It's gotten so desperate to point out perceived failings that they can't see the gaping hole in their own Ideology. It's so stupid.
Finally thanks Sam for putting the whole thing in perspective.
I am endlessly amazed to watch the pathetic attempts these short bus frat boys will go to, trying to smear any & everything not fitting their square hole.
It's inspired me to create a honey pot web site for think tank lemmings. One that gives them talking points, in the hopes that they actually spread it to all their fellow sheep & then call em on it when I reveal I made it all up. Wouldn't that be funny.....hehe.

Unfortunately, it's not limited to the frat boys. Hillary pulled some hypocritical low blows against Barak in the funding arena. It's not this party or that, it's politics in general. The system is broken. If I can't find a decent third party or independent, Obama may get my vote. Hillary just lost my vote. Still waiting to see who the Repugnantcans field.

Ya that's somewhat true but it does not stand to the same level of vitriol that the current incarnation of the Binary party apparatus does.
Really over all in spite of the Geffin comments I have not seen anything so uhhh trailer park cheap from Hillary...yet. I'm hopeful though!

Swiftboating is right.

What was 'Swiftboating?' IT WAS FACTS THAT EXPOSED THE LIES OF KERRY. So yes! This is 'swiftboating.'

Why is it when a conservative posts some facts or information, it is called swift boating? I am not sure but think there are hypocrites on both sides of the spectrum.

Yes Rob, you are correct, both sides have hypocrites.
But I would go a bit further, and say both the Democratic and Republican parties have been bought by corporate America. Third parties are where one has to go to find much honesty. The two main parties pay lip service to high ideals, but follow the dollars exclusively.

Cranky, I have to agree with you, keep telling the truth and maybe others will listen.

From everything I can find, Obama is a really good guy. He's charming, likable, a very good speaker, and his inclusive, moderate rhetoric could help bring us all together. Unfortunately (from my perspective), his actual policy stands (pro-bugout on Iraq, socialist health care plan) and Senate voting record (100% ADA for 2005) show him as ultra-liberal, and so he isn't someone I could support. Too bad, I like him otherwise.

I think that is great coming from a conservative. Even if he does not have your vote, you are able to see some of his positives and not try and smear the guy.
