I Hope That Ayers And Wright Never Leave The Table!
I hope every last dollar, every last moment of air time, every last soundbite that McCain and Palin get are devoted to trying to get people afraid of Ayers and Wright.
Conservatives on this forum keep acting like people don't KNOW about these two and that it will tear Obama down if the word gets out.
Preposterous. Wright was in the news for months and it didn't save Clinton. Ayers has been all the conservatives have talked about for the last two weeks and Obama's only gone up and up in the polls.
Please, waste more of your time and effort on these two, it brings glee to my far leftist heart.

That strategy may have worked a lot better before John McCain said Rev. Wright was out of bounds. Meanwhile, I hope he keeps attacking too. It doesn't work to make wild allegations about a guy who's 11 points up in the polls.

Yep. There it is. Neo-Fool fear mongering.
Ooh, terrorists.....
And then next thing you know, we've just spent 4 TRILLION dollars on a grand total of 54,000 people, and bankrupted the nation in the process.
And they call THAT sound judgement?

Actually, according to the latest press coverage, that's exactly what McCain and the RNC are going to do. All negative, all the time until the election. These are the last gasps of a dying campaign.

It only shows one thing, the American people have no morals any longer. They could care less about the character or integrity of their candidates as long as they put money in thier pockets.

Michelle Obama Appears on The Daily Show | Indecision2008 | Comedy Central

Potential first lady Michelle Obama clarifies her husband's relationship with William Ayers, and says if there was any real dirt to be dug up, it would have already come out by now. She also talks about watching Barack Obama with an objective eye, going through the vetting process, and greeting Cindy McCain at the debate.

Well in all honesty, I have heard that some of their negativity is going to start to shift more to Barney Frank and others. I think that will probably work a lot better than the tenuous Ayers connection for McCain.
Oh well, it was fun while it lasted.

This from today...
The Problems With the Ayers Attack - The Fix
Quote:
John McCain's campaign released a nearly-two minute Web video this morning detailing the connections between Barack Obama and former Weather Underground member Bill Ayers, the latest sign that the campaign is creeping toward using the attack as part of a broader television campaign.
But, even if McCain does eventually incorporate Ayers into a paid media campaign -- as Politico's Mike Allen says he will -- there are several reasons to believe that it is not the silver bullet that some within the Republican Party believe it to be.
First and foremost, the economic crisis that has brought Wall Street and, very nearly, Congress, to its knees has focused voters' attention on their own finances in a way that has drowned out nearly other issue.
Given the enormity of the economic issue, it's impossible for McCain to "turn the page" (in the words of adviser Greg Strimple) on the economy. The economy is, without doubt, the central battleground of the race today and is almost certain to dominate the political dialogue over the next 26 days.
