I've read on so many different blogs and websites that the Republicans have a "October Surprise". Do you guys really think there is one? ... And if so, what do you think it is?

The only thing I've heard is about is a possible video in which "For the First Time I'm proud of My Country" uses the word "whitey".

I would think both sides have something they are saving for the moment they think it will have great impact ......If the repubs have something ....waiting until the first fire of Sarah mania settles down and, (particularly if Obama starts regaining traction) dropping a bomb if they have such.....

You're probably right. I just haven't heard anything about a Democratic "October Surprise", though ... But that doesn't mean they don't have one. This is all going to get very interesting really soon.

Government is the problem, not the answer!

I think think if the libs had a surprise they would advance it now. They don't and are busy in Alaska to find one. Remember they thought the election was in the bag. And mcCain doesn't lend himself to any "...gate" controversies. Besides they/libs have played their hand already by their personal attacks on Palin.

It is likely that there is a tape of Obama saying "whitey", that is lingering, but I doubt unless McCain is desperate will use it. If the polls continue the trend, and provided McCain has a "smoking gun", October Surprise, it will be a good tool for advancing policy if he is serious about reform.

Yeah, that's nuts .... I heard the Democrats sent 30 lawyers to Alaska to dig up dirt on Palin. ... - 30 lawyers. I think that's just a wee-bit OVERKILL. I just hope and pray they don't find anything too bad, if anything!

And, your probably right. I don't think McCain would use a tape like that unless it's absolutely necessary. But, if he does use it ... YIKES ... Osama will have some MAJOR problems.
