I don't think we will see anything resembling a landslide either way it falls.
While McCain did get a big bounce, and is actually leading in some of the polls he was previoulsy behind in, I would call it a tie at best right now.
If this shows anything, it isn't that the Democrats can't put together decent candidates, it is that the Republicans are so much better at running campaigns. There is no fucking way, with the negative feelings towards Bush, that the Republicans should be in a position to win . . . . . yet they are.
The Democrats need a guy like Carville working for them. And Harold Ford Jr. would have been a much better chair of the DNC than Howard Dean. Dean's platform for the past two years is "we hate Bush", which can only take them so far.
