No way SF, he's a very real person and not a politician. Obviously Rev. Wright nor Obama ever knew each other very well. Obama calling the reporter sweetie. . . just another example. . . AND he personally called her to apologize. He's as real as they come and his ability to stay consistant and without waffling proves it.

Yet those people who donate $25 per month are counted as giving $25 or less when in reality they are giving much more. These are not poor or lower middle class people pledging $25 a month over the course of a year.

Sure it is, but to inflate the percentages to look like it comes from all these small donors is just plain lying.
He doesn't take money from "lobbyists" is his claim, but even one of his supporters discredits that claim.
Obama’s Refusal of Lobbyists’ Money Has its Limits - CommonDreams.org
When he says he is bringing change and this is one of his so called changes. Well, if his other changes are like this one then there will be no real change anywhere. See, those who bought into this bullshit about him not taking money from lobbyiests or corporate interests are either naive or stupid - simple as that - you can pick which one you are but you are definately one of those two.
But the Campaign Finance Institute said Obama still received 68% of his money from donations of $1,000 or more
Seems that Obama is fooling a bunch of fools, eh?
Obama’s biggest single source of corporate money - $160,000 - came from executives at Exelon Corp., the nation’s largest nuclear power provider, and its subsidiary, Commonwealth Edison, an Illinois utility.
Exelon spent $500,000 to influence policy in Washington last year. Although Obama took no money from Exelon’s Washington lobbyists, he accepted $1,000 checks from lobbyists John P. Novak and James Monk of Springfield. In Springfield, Novak represents Exelon., and Monk is president of the Illinois Energy Assn., a trade group that represents Commonwealth Edison.
Call this what you will, but it sure looks different than the message Obama is trying to dupe yo all with.
Now quick, start making apologies for him.
On May 2, Obama is scheduled to attend a $2,300-per-ticket breakfast 10 blocks from the Capitol. The hosts include 22 lawyers. Although they are not federal lobbyists, three in the past have been registered lobbyists; they all work at firms that have Washington lobbying operations or hire outside lobbying firms to contact lawmakers.
Lobbyists at the law firms where the lawyers work billed lobbying clients a combined $19 million in 2006, according to PoliticalMoneyLine. Clients include defense contractors, energy producers, healthcare interests, pharmaceutical manufacturers and tobacco companies.
Think these lawyers have a vested interest in keeping these lobbies going?
Via semantics Obama is duping people like Upton, Rasta, and many, many others.

Beautiful. When did all that start anyway? After Iowa for sure but he was still playing co-ed softball 99% of the time. I guess it has to be whenever someone asked for clarity on "Change" or anything else for that matter.
I think this was at least one of the first times it was foreshadowed. At least one of the first that I recall.

Dom1, those 1.5 and growing voters are giving at minimum $25.00 donation. Some of those 1.5 million voters or more are even allowing a certain monthly deduction from their check cards, the key here is that now voters can give a certain amount every month. Under the current campaign financing laws, each of those 1.5 million donors have a maximum contribtution amount of $2,300.00. Obama has taken advantage of fund raising on the internet.
On the eve of the Indiana and North Carolina primaries, we reached another incredible landmark: the 1,500,000th person made a donation to this campaign.
This has been an incredible journey so far. Along the way, countless of supporters who had never donated to a campaign before now, and inspiring stories of people who have challenged themselves to donate, to organize, to canvass and call to help build this movement.
The Obama grassroot supporters and every day blue and white collar democratic voters have made it clear to the politicians, corporations and lobbyists alike that the REAL power is with an electorate that is engaged and involved.
