Even then, what "weak" or "barely" GOP states do you think Obama will take from McCain?

This site currently shows McCain with 290 electoral votes but 120 are considered "barely GOP" (only 9 are considered "barely Dem"). They inlude Neb., Wi, Mich, Ohio, Va.,SC, Fla., NM and NC, all of them show McCain with a 4% lead or less. Though some are traditionally Republican, states such as Wi. and Mich., are traditionally Democrat and I'm confident will go for Obama come Nov. Just their 27 votes alone would change the electoral count to 264-263 for Obama and remember he puts other states in play as well. I would say that McCain's projected electoral vote edge is tenuous at best.

Obama will not win but it doesn't matter McCain is a democrat wearing a republican suit.
Me i will vote the constitution party unless McCain choses Condi.
Mccain will likely not live through a presidency but their are many who say niether will Obama.

We'll see, I would not consider New York to be safely Obama's. He had to fire another aide because of contacts with Hamas. This combined with a host of other things are going to make Jews very hesitant to vote for him in November, and this will be a very serious problem for Obama in that Jews are one of the four pillars for the democrats. A second major potential problem will be if rank and file union members who are pulling for Hillary now, go for McCain rather than Obama.

McCain will take Colin Powell as his running mate. Powell is everything Obama isn't. A great American Hero! Powell a former Sec. State and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs and National Security Advisor (1987–1989) is loved by the conservative base to balance the ticket. McCain wins in 2008 serves one term and Powell runs in 2012 against Mrs Clinton trouncing her. Republicans control the White House to 2020!!!

The problem is that Powell is about as conservative as McCain. I agree with Jay Leno on this one: "If God wanted us to vote he would have given us candidates" Like my pastor said "The lesser of two evils is still evil" I don't know what I am going to do this election.

Pretty sure barely Republican is better than barely Democrat, at least for McCain it is. Secondly, I doubt seriously that a few of those states listed as "barely" GOP are in play. Obama has to not only take away a Republican state from the last election, but he can't lose any formerly Democratic states. Not sure why so many of you have so much confidence on display, but I suspect it is an example of if you say it enough times it will become true.
Not to mention, in polling done in the past twenty years the Democrats were given a higher percentage of the vote than they really got. CNN recognized the fact in exit polls and in an office memo said they will not rely on them any longer. More and more people are going away from polls as predictors, and using them more like something to attempt to influence others with.

Freakin' sucks, doesn't it?
Then thing about Powell, everyone loves him. Dems like him because he left Bush, Conservatives like him because of his outstanding service to his country. He would be great benefit to anyone's campaign...

I LOVE IT... if you lose you are COMPLETELY FUCKED and if you win you SOMEWHAT FUCKED, but if you idiots think you have ANY chance of winning in November then you are completely and utterly delusional.
