Rasmussen to end Democratic tracking poll
In a sign of the times Rasmussen had this to say today:

Rasmussen Reports has been tracking the race for the Democratic Presidential nomination daily for nineteen months… since November 2006. For the last few months, the most remarkable feature of the race has been its consistency and stability. Senators Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton are both running historic campaigns and both have captured the votes and hearts of distinct and important constituencies within the Democratic Party. Obama has won Primaries in states where the demographics favor his campaign and Clinton has won in the states that favor her campaign.
However, while Senator Clinton has remained close and competitive in every meaningful measure, she is a close second and the race is over. It has become clear that Barack Obama will be the Democratic nominee.
With this in mind, Rasmussen Reports will soon end our daily tracking of the Democratic race and focus exclusively on the general election competition between Republican John McCain and Democrat Barack Obama.

And for what it's worth, the daily poll is Obama 50%, Clinton 42%, "first time Obama has reached the 50% level of support since April 15".

How many people are voting for Obama just because he is black? How many of the people who initially voted for Obama want a mulligan now that they know more about him? How many people believe that you are a paid Obamite?
I think it is great that you support a known liar with no moral compass now that he has isolated himself from Wright.

Obama-47%
McCain-44%
Obama-51% favorable 47% unfavorable
McCain-49% favorable 48% unfavorable
The third straight day Obama has lead in this category

The Rasmussen poll also had McCain leading both Democratic contenders in Wisconsin, a traditioanlly Democratic state. It is about the electoral college, Upton.

Some more news from Rasmussen: Obama leads Hillary Clinton by 8 points over the four days of their tracking poll, but by 11 points in the two days of interviewing since the North Carolina and Indiana primaries were completed. This indicates a significant bounce since last Tue. I mention this only because a drastic drop in her national poll numbers will help hurry Clinton out of the race.

The only thing that would help hurry Clinton out of the race would be a little Rasputin treatment. And even then I think she will prove harder to finish then the monk. |
