Some of us here, seem to be behind the times. It would seem this story has been damned near everywhere.... but here.?!

Two years ago, Hatem El-Hady was the chairman of the Toledo, Ohio-based Islamic charity, Kindhearts, which was closed by the US government in February 2006 for terrorist fundraising and all its assets frozen. Today, El-Hady has redirected his fundraising efforts for his newest cause - Barack Obama for President.

Evidently, Michelle is one of his closest friends....

As far as McCain, he;s like Hillary... Has a record, and been called on their shit, at the time in which it occured! Anything on McCain, came out during the repub. primary... not much there.... Obama is a slimy terrorist, racist, and thief that will say anything to become the next President. Barack Obama is running for president, even his adoring media echo chamber has been unable to bury the more unsavory parts of his record and associations.

In his successful run for the U.S. Senate in 2004, his then-opponent Alan Keyes raised issues suggesting an Obama affinity for Marxism. Obama brushed that aside.

However, the issue has been raised anew by Accuracy in Media's Cliff Kincaid in a recent report. Pinpointed in this instance is one Frank Marshall Davis. Davis, a "poet," was identified as a communist by the Subversive Activities Commission in Hawaii, where young Obama lived in the seventies. Davis's communist-front record was unveiled by the U.S. House Committee on Un-American Activities.

The AIM Report cites New Zealand researcher Trevor Loudon as connecting the documentary dots identifying Davis as the "Frank" mentioned only by his first name in Obama's book Dreams of My Father. It seems that "Frank" advised Obama on pursuing his career in life.

In his first wide-ranging interview since video clips of his inflammatory sermons were aired, the Rev. Jeremiah A. Wright Jr. defended himself over the controversy, saying that his words were twisted.

Mr. Wright, Senator Barack Obama’s former pastor, gave an interview to Bill Moyers on Wednesday, to air on PBS tomorrow.

“I felt it was unfair,” Mr. Wright said, according to excerpts of the interview released Thursday. “I felt it was unjust. I felt it was untrue. I felt for those who were doing that, were doing it for some very devious reasons.”

In Mr. Wright’s sermons, he suggested that Americans bore some responsibility for the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, saying “America’s chickens are coming home to roost.” He also blamed the government for the spread of AIDS among African-Americans, characterized the United States government as corrupt and referred to the “U.S. of K.K.K. A.”

He did not apologize or back away from his remarks in the interview, instead saying that people wanted to paint him as “some sort of fanatic.”

…When asked what the people who aired the clips “wanted to communicate,” Mr. Wright said, “I think they wanted to communicate that I am unpatriotic, that I am un-American, that I am filled with hate speech, that I have a cult at Trinity United Church of Christ. And by the way, guess who goes to his church, hint, hint, hint? That’s what they wanted to communicate.”
