I am wondering what our institutions of higher learning are teaching these days. I recently saw an article showing that our medical schools are not producing enough American Doctors and Nurses. It seems that our children are enrolling to study medicine to meet our needs. But the people that are taking advantage of our schools are foreign born. The question I am asking is why aren't our students intrested in medicine? Is it our culture or is the fact that maybe we are not preparing students for this field of study? I am sure that I will be slammed for being racist, but oh well.

Americans from my experience don't seem as motivated, in general, as do people from less fortunate places....maybe it is because we have had it too easy...

I read that the standards....to become certified in this country...are more lax to foreign nationals....because of the language barrier....kind of a double standard....if true...and I dont know if it is or not....I just remember reading an article about it years ago....but one should consider the source...as many things people are led to believe in print...are misleading. becoming a doctor is an extemly risky proposition right now.. Young people are going to spend 100's of thousands of dollars and are not shure they will get the reward due to Extremely high Insurance cost's and now the new threat of lower economic gain of socialized healthcare...

People go to the money and due to The trial laqwyers and Democrats who ironicly are one in the same Future doctors are opting to become lawyers, brokers etc....

They're here to make sure we don't get emergency medical treatment when the proverbial stuff hits the fan. The fan is now up and running and the stuff is ready to fly.
