We need to change the calendar.
We need to reset the calendar to the age of our universe. Unfortunately they haven't got that time pinned down yet. The universe seems somewhere between 15 and 30 billion years old. I wish they would pin it down to within a few months. Or even better within a second. That would give us a much better perspective and people would allow people to move away from this Jesus Christ centric society.
Wouldn't it be great if people started thinking in these terms? People would start thinking of what it takes to live for thousands, perhaps millions or even billions of years. I sure would like to live in a world of first causes and skip all this nonsense we see today.

Too many numbers to use on a check ( the date )
April 1st. Three billion, two hundred and fifty nine million, six hundred and forty seven thousand, five hundred and thirty six years. (give or take a few )
I've always wondered what non christian countries do for the date.

Around the world there are many calendars still in use. The Chinese, The Persian, The Islamic calendars, but most countries only use those calendars for religious or national holiday's and The Western Calendar for daily business.

True. We'd need a way of expressing it concisely.

The current calendar is not all that accurate anyway. Jesus according to this calendar is born 3 B.C.

Totally off topic. I bought an atomic clock in Georgia (Eastern Standard Time). We have since moved to Arizona which doesn't spring forward or fall back, but my clock sprung forward?

I was always taught that AD (Anno Domini) is latin for "In the year of Our Lord" (not after death) with AD 1 being roughly about the time of Christ. My mother, the Sunday School teacher, told me this.
