I have this special place in my heart for Italian parents. There are no other people in the world like them. They are a class unto themselves. No matter where they are, in an opera, in a play, in a ski resort, they think nothing of making a commotion for their kids. Their little whiny kids that are spoiled rotten. And you had best not say a thing or else you'd best be prepared for a physical fight or verbal talking down to by the wife. Who will throw things and kick a bit but that won't really hurt.
Italians...

This is not an Italian issue, but a worldwide issue of my son/daughter does no wrong...
It's sad that gown adults can not represent logic and reason when raising their kids.
Children will learn what they live...no matter what nationality.

The story is plain and simple, IF this is an actual teacher, teaching a class, she certainly dresses the part!
Another thing...Speaking by experience, this is an absolute representation of Italian culture.
I can say this video depicts the male population of medicrity, the misogynistic culture within Italy and just about plays like this.
You think Napoli is the only rough city in Italy?
In Rome, Venice, Florence, Napoli, Bari, Milan...ITALY.
Your vast and intimate experience tells you this is inner city AHA!
wow, you are so hot.
This behaviour is encouraged throughout Europe dahling, France is even more raw.
Italian/European women expect this behaviour from males and it is up to the individual woman how she will authorize her dignity and authority over her domain.
|
I said the video was disgusting. It seemed the woman allowed the behavior. MIM I suspect you have little knowledge of current culture in France or Italy beyond the insinuations you hear on Fox News. Yes there are people like that just as there are in our great country.I see women with thongs hanging out and tatoos and personally I think they look low. I have lived in both of those countries and there is no more sexual harrassment in those western European countrie then our great country. dialect...yes I am familiar with Napoli dialect. It differs from Roma or Firenze. It is not an accent. Piemonte dialect I can speak and understand...Napoli..I can recognize but it is different.
Yes it is up to individual women and individual men...in all countries. Trashing Italy..when their president just authorized a larger US military presence.

Exactly...MIM I agree. It is not an italian issue as you stated earlier..it is an issue some HUMANS have with behavior.

I just looked at the video with no sound. Not that I would understand Italian if there were sound. What am I missing? Without the sound it looks like normal classroom fun and games. Where's the harm?

One of my good friend's wife's best girlfriend married an Italian American guy. She was a white girl. She lasted maybe one year and divorced him. He was too macho, cat-calling at other women, he was a "Where's my supper" kind of guy who would taste her food and spit it out and throw plates if he didn't like it, he tried to turn her into his mother, he wasn't big on her learning and reading. She felt like a prisoner.
