Default Teacher abuses autistic child

This not only a case of abuse but racism is involved also because the Teacher has black skin and the child has white skin.

http://www.drumsnwhistles.com/2008/0...ff-the-island/

PORT ST. LUCIE — Melissa Barton said she is considering legal action after her son’s kindergarten teacher led his classmates to vote him out of class.

After each classmate was allowed to say what they didn’t like about Barton’s 5-year-old son, Alex, his Morningside Elementary teacher Wendy Portillo said they were going to take a vote, Barton said.

By a 14 to 2 margin, the students voted Alex — who is in the process of being diagnosed with autism — out of the class.

Here are some of the words his classmates used to describe him, before they made him walk the Kindergarten plank:

The other students said he was “disgusting” and “annoying,” Barton said.

“He was incredibly upset,” Barton said. “The only friend he has ever made in his life was forced to do this.”

I have some questions about this. Let’s start with this one:

WHY IS THIS TEACHER ALLOWED TO CONTINUE TEACHING?

Let’s see if I have this straight. A teacher allows 16 5-year olds to: a) articulate their feelings and dislikes for another child; and b) vote him out of the classroom? Look at what sparked it:

Steele said the boy had been sent to the principal’s office because of disciplinary issues. When he returned, Portillo made him go to the front of the room as a form of punishment, she said.

Oh, and being ever the compassionate pseudo-psychiatrist-cum-evil-teacher-from-hell, she did allow poor Alex a confessional after booting him off the island:

Barton said after the vote, Portillo asked Alex how he felt.

“He said, ‘I feel sad,’ ” Barton said.

Alex left the classroom and spent the rest of the day in the nurse’s office, she said.

In case you’re wondering, Alex hasn’t been back to school since then. He’s been traumatized. Here are some of the consequences of Teacher Ratchet’s little exercise in community spewing:

Alex hasn’t been back to school since then, and Barton said he won’t be returning. He starts screaming when she brings him with her to drop off his sibling at school.

Thursday night, his mother heard him saying “I’m not special” over and over.

I saw this on the news the other day. By what right did this teacher have to vote this child out of this class? Why is the school going along with this? I would sue the living shit out of both the teacher and the school and I would do everything in my power to insure this woman never got near another child again. It really doesn't matter what race either party was (although I can assure you if the races were reversed there would be a federal investigation of this school going on right now). What matters is this fool of a teacher is allowed to continue teaching

This Teacher was reassigned.
If this Teacher had white skin and the student had black skin, the Teacher would be fired, sued and destroyed.
So, skin color does matter in this case and how it was handled.
This case is truly all about skin color because the Teacher is free to abuse more children.

White teachers have been fired and destroyed for far less but the issue is not race but actions. This woman should not have been "reassigned" unless that reassignment was to the city dump.

Its time that control of the schools be returned to the parents of the students going to the school. If parents could vote teachers out how many would be left?

i think has more to do with gender, when are we going to stop our women from teaching and put em back in the kitchen?

also retard nerds in school always get picked on, even by the teachers

i had a coach in jr high. made us run laps. one day some fat black kid was taking forever to run his laps. coach screams out "i dont need a stop watch, i need a fucking calender of this fatty"

it was hilarious.

then again...... maybe it was time to tell this kid that more than 80% of his classmates thought he was an asshole ..... I seriously doubt the teacher had any other motive than pointing out how he was "seen" by his peers ...... a "reality check" isn't necessarily inappropriate .....

The teacher should be fired, not allowed to resign.
It was discriminatory and peer pressure to have her class vote against a student.
