Wow just for you I thought I’d throw Mickey in there curious check out this story. Forget Miley Cyrus. Check out Disney's Chinese underwear ad. - By Daniel Brook - Slate Magazine

I don't see an age limit there. If the children have no rights while on school grounds, why should the teachers have anything different? Are teachers the Aristocracy in the isolated world of Public Education, that they should have rights not afforded to other citizens?
If you let teachers have guns on school property, do you still deny parents, visitors, etc. the same rights, or do you let the teachers become the elite privileged?
Last time I checked, STUDENTS were more commonly the victims of violence in schools, not teachers. If anyone eneeds protection, it's the kids whose parents force them into such degenerate circumstances. The teachers get to choose whether or not to be there...the kids are there whether they like it or not, and so deserve first consideration when talking about self-defense.

If you think that schools are nothing but prisons meant to subjugate children then that’s fine by me, but there are plenty of children throughout the world that will never be granted the opportunity to even learn to read their own language much less learn about other cultures and mathematics and world history. The system is taken for granted. Parents can’t or won’t participate in the rearing of children and that is why they are sent off to these schools. I will admit as a product of the public school system I took for granted what I received until my first time in a third world country. These problems exist in these places to but there is a fundamental difference between American’s and much of the world.
School shooting happen all over the world, we in the U.S. have been very lucky that something on the scale of Beslin hasn’t happened here. In the 1970’s the Israelis started to deal with threats against their children. Today in Israel there are armed soldiers on ever school bus in the country. I’m not saying that this is where we are heading but when was the last time you heard about an Israelie primary or secondary school being attacked by its own students?
In this country school shooting, with a few exceptions, are student targeting students. I never said that parents or others should be barred from carrying concealed weapons on campus; however the general public would be a little less reluctant to look down on teachers/ staff. I’m not just saying that anyone with teaching credentials should be walking around campus with a firearm. There needs to be extensive training in not only weapons handling but also in hostage negotiation, conflict resolution and myriad of other things. Anyone walking around today with a concealed weapon whether they know it or not have a great deal of reasonability that comes with that weapon, not just in its handling but in the situations that they might find themselves in. And yes I do believe that there is a place for an elite group within the school. A group that is willing to sacrifice themselves and their careers for a student’s or students’ lives. The law says that children need to be educated and for many that means public schools, don’t we owe it to these students to not provide some false sense of security through uniforms, metal detectors, see through book bags and I.D.’s.
