I知 a college student and as I知 typing this, my Walther P99 AS is in my bag next to my leg. I may never need it, the round in the chamber may never be fire on this campus but I知 not clairvoyant, and if someone to include but not limited to Mickey Mouse with a shotgun and a misplaced grudge walks through the door, he値l be on his way to see Walt.

If the school is deemed unsafe enough to need security, then there should be security officers there.
While, by and large, I believe in the right of people to carry firearms, I don't like the idea of teachers bringing guns to school. Their job is to teach. Bringing a weapon is just another thing to have to think about. I'd be more worried about an armed teacher being disarmed by a violent student.
That's why you need security officers there. Their job is safety, nothing else. Let the teachers get on with TEACHING.
