The public school system served this nation well for decades and it still will, we just have to put some effort into it again.
Not a bad argument against student vouchers, but the whole problem most people have with the public school system is:
1. The Teachers Union
2. No competition
3. The Teachers Union
4. High Over head
5. No Conservatives allowed, i.e. How many Conservative teachers, professor's have you ever heard of, Liberals have a monopoly in the teaching field.
6. The Teachers Union.
I was listening to a local Rad io station last year I still remember this because they were talking about a career in the Local School district, they were bragging that over 50% of the job's are un-teaching related.
I mother fucking thought at the time it should of been like 80% of the job's should of been teaching related.
To much over head in the school district's too many people getting paid just to manufacture there own jobs.

Also a good argument for vouchers is I personally. I am a product of the public school district's, I can not spell worth a damn, I can not write worth a shit, School was useless to me, everything I learned I had to re-learn outside of school and I graduated from High School.

Typical righty. Your failure to learn was someone else's fault.

Vouchers appeal to simp righties for two reasons:

1. They love simplistic solutions - easier than thinking.

2. They get to put one of their scapegoats - teachers' unions - on display.

Vouchers are useless for anyone not rich. Private school tuition is over $10,000 normally. Okay, you can subsidize religion, but I think religion should have to get by without gov't support.

There is no real evidence that private schools teach any better. Actually, qualification standards to teach are normally lower. They can show better scores, because they can pick and choose and expel students, and the students and parents they have are normally more motivated.

Lastly, simple minds fail to recognize that if you move students around, you will move the same teachers you don't like now to teach them. In fact, as private schools generally pay less, you will likely have the poorest of teachers moving to fill the demand there for more teachers.

So, sorry rightards, y'all need to leave thinking to those who can handle it. You just keep shepherding your scapegoats.

Wah!

Should have gotten off your lazy ass and studied. Never get anywhere going through life blaming others for your inadequacies.

Now if I were racist, I would say NAACP but they are almost racist themselves by calling themselves "colored" instead of African American.

But, honestly, the American Civil Liberties Union: is there to cover everyone's butts, if they deserve it or NOT.
I apologize for the misread and the question.

so what its not our fault they choose to live in bumfuck
