I just want the schools to provide an education and teach kids how to think not what to think.

There you go again Rob...Trying to encourage logic and thought in the Liberal School System. Have you no shame?

I'm teasing with you Rob. Peace unto thee, and thine.

Just think, if we can get the goverment out of the education process and maybe we will see some improvement.

Rob,,,You've been one of the most quiet, and gentle Posters out here. I've yet to see you raise your voice in anger... And under intense provocations at times...

Yea verily,,, I say unto thee, thou hast control beyond measure...Thou hast mastered thy Gods teaching, and Followed steadfast in His Path. Kudos...

I admit I'm still learning to deal with Lifes "Speed-Bumps" in such a gentle manner. I'm not the patient kind. My Fault.

Take care.

They are only supposed to tax for actual spending they NEED to do to run the government. How is taking my money, then giving it back later, a function of government? Why'd they take more than they actually needed to spend?

Good point Saint...I can add to this topic. Why do we allow the "Goverment" to rob us, and then "give" us back our own money as they so direct?

We can assume then, you're not a Liberal Idiot Leech that survives off of the labor of others...

Welcome.

I've been asking the same thing, everytime a city gets federal funds for a new commuter rail line, or new police cars. Hell, if the feds have money to give back, lower the taxes, don't raise them.

I want my tax money back for those roads I don't use. I don't care if it serves the General Welfare.

I want my tax money back for the firemen and policemen I don't use. I don't care if it serves the General Welfare.

I want my tax money back for the parks I don't use. I don't care if it serves the General Welfare.

I want my tax money back for public schools I don't use. I don't care if it serves the General Welfare.

It's all about me.

So far Bod,,, you're covering what should be Local Issues. The Feds really shouldn't have a hand at all in our pockets for these.

Their soul purpose should be the National Defense, and Inter-State Commerce. For the General Welfare of America.
