AWESOME news, our kids got accepted into our first choice private NC school for the 2008-2009 school year. Have I mentioned that, yet? I'm a tad excited.  |

Here's where my age sets in.
I will soon have a 5th and 8th grader...the Catholic schools only go up to 8th grade and we expect to be there for their entire high school careers. |

Every teacher, principal, counselor, etc. you talk to will tell you the same thing: the more the parents get involved, the better the student does.
Oddly, though, they fail to tell you the obvious conclusion: if the parent takes over 100% of the schooling, the child can get the best education possible. But, I guess since it IS blatantly obvious, any parent who gives a shit will figure it out. |

Public schools need to start paying Federal income taxes, Teacher's salaries can be cut to pay for these taxes.  |
