the US will eventually convert to the metric system so when you say didn't what you really mean is have not yet, if the US doesn't it will eventually irritate its trading partners to the point where most countries say fuck us, wait too late

If we convert to metric, I'll learn it, I've always had to assimilate to my enviroment. But, I'm not having a colossal meltdown over it. I'm 40, not 50. Again with the math.
