Cool Education coed vs. single gender, and then some!

Why should our children have to be stressed by sexual curiosity. It has been evident for many years that the single gender schools, not mentioning any names, put out a superior education. Partly that is due to the better control of class environment and parental involvement.

One can have the best buildings, books, technologies, and programs and still come out with a poor product if the learning environment is not conducive to learning. Distractions of disruptive students combined with , and largely caused by the gender curiosities cause less then the best learning environment.

Today the fear of litigation and the intersession of government into the education system has caused the class room teachers to have lost control of the learning environment. The dabbling of government has further put stresses on the teachers and administrations in public schools. Mentors on all levels have been stripped of the respect from parents and students.

The government and society has called our youth our best product, but do not show or give respect to those given the task of producing that best product. Duh!!

Yeah but on the other hand school teaches much more socially than many give it credit for. Who better to teach them about women than women themselves and vice versa?

My kids are in 3rd and 6th grade. I think the sexes should be segregated for classes, but housed within the same school. I also think uniforms should be mandatory at public and private schools. My kids have always been in private and in uniforms, my 6th grader is in public school for the first time and they have mandatory uniforms, but the 3rd grader doesn't because of the "individuality" bullsh**. Education should out trump fashion.

School nor the gutter should teach children about each other when academics are concerned. The future for these children and America depends on their being able to concentrate on building their abilities to fend for themselves for their entire life.

Splitting up sexes in the classroom doesn't really help. Most of the children and teachers in segregated class rooms are children and teachers that would perform well anyways. If you take this kind of regulation nation wide we will still have just as bad of a problem as we do now. The problem is that we have socialized schools, there is really not an incentive to do well if you don't want to do well. Now, I'm not saying that we shouldn't make all schools private, just that we're only going to be able to do so well with a national school. I happen to think that the product of schools is great compared to if we didn't have socialized education.

Truthfully, it all comes down to whether or not the child and/or parent want the education.

Also, we've already had this whole segregation issue before, it doesn't really work too well.

Yellow dog:

You have me confused, or may be it is you. I don't think I mentioned anything about segragation unless you are calling seperating males from females that.

I do agree with you that one of the most important things is if the student and parent think highly of education. But students every day sit in classes in which disruptive students eat up time and attention from calss studies and from the instructors.

Yeah, I was talking about the seperation of males and females; that whole thing if established nation wide would lead to a seperate but not equal case.

It cuts down the number of students hitting on the teacher to about 10%.
