Nathan, this is already in place in some schools. Both of my now teenagers took these courses in jr. high. They were eligible as early as the sixth grade, only with perental consent & the boys & girls were seperated. The name of the program escapes me at the moment, but I can ask one of them if they remember it.

Teens have sex cause you uptight sexualy retarded quakeers make Booze drugs and sex into insane taboos that spark curiosity in rebliious teens that will find a way to get and do them instead of openly educating them on responsibilty.

I notice you avoided my question about where children are to learn about sex, and its consequences, when parents fail to explain it. So I ask again:

"If other parents aren't going to do it, where are their kids to acquire the knowledge, under the bleachers?"

Let me ask a simple question. Do you think kids today are less able to control themselves than kids from the 50 or early 60's? Did kids have sex back then? Of course they did, was it as rampant and open as it is today? No. And why not, because there were rules and consequences for breaking the rules. Today, people like you and a few others don't want rules. You want to be able to act with total immaturity but with no consequences.

I don't understand why you think kids today can't control themselves. Is it because you have created a climate where having 2 or 3 kids out of wedlock is an honor?

If parents are going to not do their jobs, then today kids can look up any subject on the web to educate themselves but it is still the parents job. The person that I asked was Aunt that would allow me to discuss anything so she is the one that explained to me. My parents failed to teach it because they were too embarassed I guess.

I too, never heard one word about sex, from my parents, but I didn't have an aunt close by. However, I sure got a shit load of misinformation from my peers. Everything from catching clap off toilet seats to Oriental females were "aligned" differently, than American girls. But shit, in the 40's and 50's most adults didn't know as much about sex as todays 7 year old, nor did they have near the experience of todays high school student. Both very good reasons to begin SexEd at an early age.

Whats funny is that in other religions like Islam Sex is not a taboo subject to be tip toed around till the last moment. We could take a lesson from Islam and start teaching our children about sex early and also our moral beliefs behind it, such as abstinence or safe sex practices.

One thing I respect about mainstream Islam is there open minded attitudes about sex. They may not have porn or girls gone wild movies on TV, but they often have discussions about sex with children at a very early age with children and even from top Imams on Islamic TV.

This left over Puritan attitude about sex is hurting America, if you ask me. Sex is not something dirty and disgusting. It is a fact of life and the sooner you teach your children the sooner they can grasp the realities of how to deal with there sexuality and make the right decisions.
