Decline of quality education

after almost 30 years of neocon failures to fund anything in education, we are finally at the lowest point in the scale with other nations equally industrialized. We don't even offer low interest loans to our youth.

Tell me...how can you be so for republicans who deny your children quality education?

Just what are the spending values of the neocons and where has all their money gone when the last over 25 years?

This is a perfect example of leftist projection. The left has been driving our education processes for decades, taking full control of public education k-12 in the mid 60s and the universities by the late 70s.

This is why we have PC.

But it's the "neocons" fault?

The leftist teachers union have run the schools since the late 60s and everything they've done, while paying lip service to "the chilruns!" has been about enriching their members and gathering more and more power to the union.

They've done a very, very good job.

And this is the "neocons" fault?

At the university level, anyone not in complete lockstep with not just a moderate liberal view, but a far, far-left loony view cannot be a professor, and if you are a conservative student, you will be literaly chased from the campus by your professors and fellow students.

And this is the "neocons" fault?

Don't understand what you mean in the way of a decline in spending, as it has gone up every, single year.

The problem isn't to give MORE money to the uncle, it is to make him more responsible in the way it is allocated. Giving the feds more of our money without holding them responsible for the way they spend it is like continuosly placing a wet band aid over an open wound.

You want quality education, kick the government out of schools.

State and Federal interference started with the collection of school taxes, under the guise of equal funding for "poor districts". Then "they" started mandating what would be taught, then how testing would be done.

Now all we have is "poor performing" public school districts.

Yipppeee..... our kids got accepted and are going back and staying in the private North Carolina school....4 more months and my kids are done with public school a 2 year nightmare!!! Adios AZ!
