I take serious offense to that.
No idiot, I want to make sure my daughter gets a quality education, and can actually think for herself. I do not want my daughter taught by the curriculums chosen by partisan school board members.
which have an underlying slant in Socialist Ideals. So no, I want my daughter to have all the facts. I would like her to learn both the good things and bad things about the New Deal policies. I want her to learn about the Gold and Silver Standard. The underlying causes of the Mexican American war. I want her to know about every school of Political and Religious thought.
Do they teach that in Public Schools? No they do not.
So fuck yourself.

I certainly was flip, and painted the issue with too broad a brush, however, there was truth in what I said in many cases, and if you choose to admit it to me or not, you know it as well as I do. If you are in the same camp with scoundrals, dont blame me for pointing it out
Having said that, lets take YOUR flip statements and examine them
1. I doubt, in fact I am certain that your local school board does not consist of Socialist marxists, and frankly, for you to make such a statement, leads me to think that your daughter is very much in need of some input from a less bias sourse then yourself. The hypeboly and rhetoric, also paints any arguement you make, as rants from a right wing extremist, be that actual or precieved
2. Call upon you logic and humility, and realize that home schooling assures your daughter will never know more, or acheive more then her teacher (you)
Is that really in her best interest? You dont have to answer me, but you really should ask yourself that question, and think hard about the answer.
3 Public schools do teach most of the things you mentioned. You may not like that fact that they do it in a non Eurocentric, objective, and globalist way, and you may not like the conclusions arrived at by academia, but like it or not, that is what is expected in the real world, and to deprive her of that knowledge because it offends your nateral prejudice, is not the earmark of a parent with a childs best interests in mind
4. You mentioned religion. Allow me to have the uinmitigated gall to point out the constitutional mandate, that public institutions are not the place for that. If aligning myself with the founders of this nation makes me a Maoist, so be it.
6. You mention the Mexican American war ? The issue was thatt Sam Houston needed slaves, and Mexico outlawed slavery, so he hired mercinaries to fight his war. This is the FACT of the matter, but I suspect however, that your version paints a more sanitized picture. Again, all the more reason for the puiblic school counter balance.
7. Do not buy the hype (IE, bullshit) spread by the extreamists who advocate home schooling. The FACT is, most accredited colleges require remedial classes from home schoolled students in their freshman year, and sometimes beyond, and in FACT, at many colleges, home schooling is a red flag against acceptance.
And finally, (take all the offense you like) to put you childs future at risk for a partisan political agenda, is borderline child neglect. If the shoe fits, wear it.
