Talking

^I^

YouTube - Shawn Mullins - Lullaby

she grew up with
the children of the stars....on TV :-(
in the hollywood hills and the boulevard
her parents threw big parties
everyone was there
they hung out with folks like
dennis hopper, bob seeger, sonny and cher :-(

now, she feels safe
in this bar on fairfax
and from the stage I can tell that
she can't let go and she can't relax :-(
and just before
she hangs her head to cry
I sing to her a lullaby, I sing

everything's gonna be all right
rockabye, rockabye
everything's gonna be all right
rockabye, rockabye
rockabye

she still lives with her mom
outside the city
down that street about a half a mile
and all her friends tell her
she's so pretty
but she'd be a whole lot prettier
if she smiled once in a while
`cause even her smile
looks like a frown
she's seen her share of devils
in this angel town

But, everything's gonna be all right
rockabye, rockabye
everything's gonna be all right
rockabye, rockabye
rockabye

I told her I ain't so sure
about this place..............................ABOUT TIME ;-)
it's hard to play a gig in this town
and keep a straight face..................ehehehehehehehehe
seems like everyone here's got a plan .........EVEN GOD ;-)
it's kind of like nashville with a tan, but,

everything's gonna be all right
rockabye, rockabye
everything's gonna be all right
rockabye, rockabye

everything's gonna be all right
rockabye, rockabye
everything's gonna be all right
rockabye, rockabye,rockabye, bye, bye
bye, bye

ON THE SUNNY SIDE OF THE STREET ;-)

2. My guess is that our media (and the schools you attended) have defined "left" and "right" for you and that "radical right" is some nutcase in the woods with 5 wives and 200 guns, while the "radical left" is....well, there probably isn't anyone you can define that way as the MAINSTREAM left today IS the radical left.

3. I have no idea what "myths" you are talking about. If getting a good education is secondary to being taught some religious mumbo-jumbo that your kids will have to eventually decide on their own to accept or reject, then yeah...I'd say a religious school is not a good choice...for you. My guess from this is that you are so invested in your own hatred of Christianity for some reason that your kids' educations are not as much a priority as is your demonstrating that hatred. I called myself "atheist" for decades (then I grew up...at least a bit) and while doing so sent my kids to an Evangelical Christian private because I cared about them FIRST, and my own childishness second.

4. Your cant concering multiculturalism also tags you as a lib. There were kids from all over the world at my kids school, kids from every Christian denomination from Catholic to non-denom. kids who went to house churches...and even a little Jewish girl for a time. Your own bigotry is leading you. Your leftist views are lockstep with those taught you by the media and the public schools: private schools are filled with rightwing, racist, sexist, homo- and xeno-phobic haters who want to subjugate the mud people and will teach your daughters that their highest calling will be to get pregnant and serve their man.

You are a father now...time to stop speaking as a child, time to put away the things of childhood... I taught my kids at home and in our own church what I thought they needed to know about how God has made our world and all the "multiculturalism" they need to know (which of course means, being a conservative, I want them to own black slaves some day!)

5. I am not in a communist state, but our lefties here are sure trying. We are solidly "red" (who picked these colors) except in our largest couple of cities. By the way....um..you do know that N'awlins is in your state....right? Um..you know who runs that place, right?

Right?

Hello?

Is this thing on?!

No what the media has taught me is that both sides of this corrupt two party system is full of shit. I have stepped way back and watched and listened to all forums from both parties and their both full of shit. As far as being labled I am not rep or dem I'm good govt. and that has not been allowed to rise to the top do to the financial and political power that the two partiew wield. If I were to analyze me as you say in person you would find that I am much more conservative and liberal on certain things under certain cercumstances. I do not have a hatred for religion bright one now you sound like a lib nut always asuming what you want to believe as true and not the truth. My biggest problem with sending my daughter to a private school is it is catholic. That is why I would prefer to send her to a good public school if posable because if I can not then she will go to the catholic school. YOU have not been paying attention that is why I had her baptised in the catholic church so I could send her there if needed. I have a problem with it because I was raised southern baptist still am. I have had my doubts about religion but never hated it and I go to church and take my daughter to this day. So I would not give up your day job Mr. analist. Grow up I'm a dad now I walked away and lost over 30,000 dollars among other things 2 years ago for what was best for my daughter so preach to someone else she as my wife knows comes first before either one of us. It has been hard but we have got back on our feet and are debt free again but would do it all again in a heart beat if that is what it called for. I doubt many have the morals or principles to do so these days so once again preach to someone else. Just because what you did in the area you are in and felt it was best because of the outcome does not make it so everywhere else. There is one one place as far as I can tell by all the reports coming out of their that I would not put my child in any of their schools and that is colorado those people are out of their damn minds.

First, try breaking your thoughts up into paragraphs...it does not matter if you do that very well, just do it. Huge chunks of text like this are nearly imposssible to read.

If I've misidentified you, mea culpa. It is a SOP, Playbook tactic of libs to shriek "don't label me!!!" as a means of confusing the situation. ONLY libs are afraid to be identified for what they are.

We agree. Both parties are largely full of shit. One more so than the other, but both are full of shit. And therefore what? You'll "vote for the man, not the party!!" and help put liberals in office? Ah...good plan! So you belive (many in here do) that helping to put those you KNOW will not do anything even remotely in your best interests into power will make you feel better because what, you'll be able to put one of those bumper stickers reading "Don't Blame Me! I Din't Vote for Either of Them!" on your car...that you won't be able to drive because taxes on gas will artificially raise the price to $8-12/gallon?

If you don't have a hatred of religion, don't talk as if you do. I run into lots and lots of folks who hate the Catholic so much they will sacrifice their children to the public schools in order to "show" the Catholic church what they think. Yeah...that'll show 'em! That you are stupid. There is virtually no such thing as a "good" public screwel. You never hear that about Catholic schools (by the way...I am not Catholic). Your reasons for not sending your daughter to these typically excellent schools are: I don't like the Catholics! If that's not irrational, I don't know what is. Lots and lots of folks have gone to these schools and not come out raving Papists as you, in your ardent bigotry, fear.

Colorado? Far as I know Colorado has the same lousy public screwels as anyone else...which might be why, I believe, their homeschool population is bested only by Utah, with a long-standing tradition of Mormon homeschooling. And if you don't live in Colorado, what difference does it make? There are doubtless many fine Catholic schools there, as there are in most states (aren't the Catholics all over the US?) as well as other Protestant-based schools.

My daughters attending a private, Evangelical Christian school (mostly) fom K-8th and 9th grade. They went to a public high screwel for a about a year and a half and we are not home/online schooling them since the public screwel was teaching them NOTHING.

You have to make your own choices. Your's are being made out of religious bigotry. Had the nearby Catholic school had the room to take BOTH my daughters, that's where they'd have gone. Had I the $40,000/yr it takes to send them to the Jesuit high school here...that's where they'd be going. While I was raised "Catholic" it really means nothing to me. At best, I am agnostic. My daughters, raised non-denominational Christian and who saw their formative education in an Evangelical school, nevertheless showed up in their public high school bio class knowing far, far more about evolution than did any of their "peers" in the class.

Wake up, put your petty religious bigotry to bed and do what's best for your kids.

Colleges need their students to know all the information being taught in the required schools before they go to college. what is this mystic info, high schools don't teach shit except bad habits. The information that is taught up through highschool is so important in this day. Bitch are you retarded? Science has become a political issue thats a problem that needs to be corrected, not a school issue and students need to know about it in order to vote on it there should'nt be anything to vote on without having to go to college. Everything students are taught in school is useful in life.
I repeat bitch are you retarded?

Lets just hope that your daughters dont turn out like you, who finds non seperated paragraphs "impossible to read"
Based on that alone, there is no reason to take anything you say, as anthing more then the rantings of a moron

Pointing out the fact that religous teachings passed off as education are a formula for stupidity, is not "bigotry", it is simple fact.

You show with each post, that indeed you are a product of that formula.
keep up the good work

As always, you wear your ignorance like a badge of honor, and it fits you well.

And see I even seperated my paragraphs, because I pity the illiterate

You do know that is never going to happen...dont you ?
I mean really...you do know that right ?
