Default 9% of U.S. Kids Have ADHD

GIve me a break..I'm still not buying that many kids REALLY have ADHD. So does that mean it's a gurantee that they "won't be able to work" and suck off the government their entire lives?

If Hillary Clinton is elected, that's likely what you can expect....and more.

I'm afraid we're going to get bogged down with more and more social programs and become a sister nation to the French. Although, it appears that the new French Pres has plans for his country that are beginning to make sense to them. But, we'll see...that's another subject.

To some posters being like France would be wonderful. I myself don't see Clinton getting elected unless she is the only one running.

Well, if the Republicans don't come up with a real slugger, it looks like a slam dunk to me.

"Let me quote one Wm Jefferson Clinton: Newt Gingrich is the only Republican with any ideas"

I second that.

Is it always easier to medicate????????????

My son was a rowdy one let me tell ya. I never encountered a teacher that didn't "suspect" him of having ADHD. They’d always ask if I'd like to have him tested and I'd always decline. I'd tighten down the buckles on him and request that they stay in constant contact with me regarding his behavior no matter how small the incident & we always got through it. He's 16 and fine now.

Yo Rocky. Yeah...family members were dx'd with ADHD back in the 1970's...all brillant...no common sense. The problem I have is that people will use it as a loophole to milk the gov't. It's already setting up that way "The discovery that ADHD is more common among poorer people is probably related to other risk factors for the disorder, such as use of tobacco, low birth weight and lead exposure, Shaw said."

Its like the ads for autism claiming 1 out of 160 kids are autistic. I find that to be an incredible statistic. Why are that many kids autistic? Is it because so many mothers are crackheads? Or is this another situation where anything that can be in any way claimed to be a medical condition and therefore build victims is the guiding principle? To me its like the missing milk carton children and the media's preoccupation with the kidnapping of children. The truth was it was not "kidnapping" in the old sense but one non custodial parent running off with his/her children
