Interesting topic and read. ALOT of misinformation though. ADHD is real, has nothing to do with parenting, exercise, sugar or food additives. It is a misfire in the brain.

I agree for those who truly have ADHD.

It is very over-diagnosed, and very misunderstood, even by the professionals. Children with ADHD are usually very intelligent and find their own behavior very frustrating. The problem of educating them, is getting them to sit still for even the simplest of exercises (reading, writing, math, eating). IMO, medication should only be used long enough for them to learn to cope with their disease, and to learn the basics.

Freedomlover: I'm totally on board with you on this. I've had friend's kids who truly had ADHD and the medication made the difference of night and day with them.
