Give me a break Gix; I know some "big guys". They own multiple million dollar homes, the spend most of their time travelling and they throw extravagant parties. They spend more money on trivial things (messages, facial treatment, etc.) than I do to provide basics. If they have it tough, it definitely is by choice. I'm a little guy and I struggle to get by.

We've paid off a few credit cards and we get CONSTANT mail from the CC company's. They actually send us checks to cash against our credit card! Or they tell us that out first few payments, if we charge $500-$1000 or more, will be differed for 6 months.

The CC companies work AGAINST you, they want you in debt, it's their job.

Get a marketable skill. People are usually paid what they are worth.

Really?!?!?

Statements like that always kinda make me laugh. Teachers don't get paid what they're worth, and they handle your kids. Police officers, Firemen or Firepeople, EMT's, nurses...I could go on and on.

Right now I know a guy who works private Security for a large company in the Kansas City area, doesn't carry a weapon, works 8-4 and has better benefits and pay then I do. His company can afford it, the city can't afford it for the Police. Many people are not paid what they are worth, they are paid what the market will bare.

That's why a professional sports player will make more then the dude looking for the cure for cancer, or the Secret Service agent guarding the President or the General in charge of our troops in Iraq. The market can pay the athelete his salary, but the salaries, combined, for the other three don't come close to that athelete's.

It's not a that the other three aren't "worth" the same as the Football star, as you say Diz. It's the fact that the Football Star has more $$$ coming into his jobsite then the others do. I thank God that not many people think like you Diz. Because if they did, we'd never have the teachers, cops, firemen, nurses, secret service agents, generals, labratory people, etc. they'd all want to goto the highest paying jobs...to prove their worth.

Hmmm....I wonder if that's how the people at Enron felt. Or the people who worked years at Arthur Anderson, their management FUBAR's and boom no more job and their stock plumets. How 'bout TWA or Sprint or one of a hundred companies where poor management, bad luck, or a combinations of the two destroy a company.

It's not all just hard work and working smart, luck comes into play too. With luck comes chance, with chance comes a possibility of doing everything right and still ending up getting the shaft.

Grow up Gix.

I have not cried "unfair" or said I was "jealous" of anyone.

I stated that one's worth was not tied to one's pay, as Dizzy suggested that it WAS.

I then pointed out that contrary to your opinion, "If you work hard in this country and you work smart you get rewarded" that is not always the case.

If you want to work hard and make money to spend however you wish, that's fine by me. If you throw a lavish party, I'd like an invite, but you do what you will.

But riches do not always follow hard work. Riches don't make the man. And riches are not the end all be all of existance.

I'm a lib, and that's all I'm sayin.

You don't see anything Gix, you have closed your mind. Anything that doesn't nicely fit with your preconcieved notions are disregarded, insulted or both.

And your spelling is atrocious. listin? What is that, an ingrediant in Listerine?
